This is just another one of their endless hits. They are so creative.

It was never a hit. But it’s a Stones classic beloved by fans.

At first it's a Mick composition and Leon Russell played piano, named Get a Line, beautiful version.
So cool that Keith is playing Waylon's Tele. It shows the respect Keith has for Waylon.
Shine a Light is one of their greatest songs EVER

A pure Jagger song (with Leon Russell),as you can hear in the video.
I was at this show. It was the 116th - and last - show of their Bigger Bang tour and my 12th time seeing the Stones, live. Keith did a great rendition of 'You Got The Silver'.
Not only one of my favorite Stones songs, but one of my all time favorites sons ever. The lyrics and the music have a real emotion behind them for me that I can't describe, but I find them just magical. Vivid yet abstract imagery that really pushes my buttons. Love it!

Mick composition, lyrics was about Brian (1968) called Get a Line, very touching.
THE STONES ARE FOREVER THAT YOU DONT EVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT
LOVE Bonnie Raitt, this song and Exile On Main Street. I use a line from this song to wish every one who is a Rolling Stones fan happy birthday....
Charlie Watts, te extrañaremos por siempre, descansa en paz.
Oh you get to see micks gentle side. Beautifull

It seems that Mick have a great and deserved respect for Bonnie.
Last time I saw Bonnie Raitt live was at the Internat Jazz Fes. She's Still Great Singing Artist. 25 years ago- Wow- Blast- Love The Song.
Love this song! Just simply amazing.
Oooooooooh... this is my favorite one. ♥_♥ ♪♫ Shine a Light ♫♪
Too beautiful 💖✨ I dedicate this 🎹 song to Caspar 😇👻, Jack😇, Charlie 🥁 & all who passed before us, may they carry on in peace ☮️
Fresh as the morning dew.
Awesome
...and THAT'S about a pretty good way to go! Amen, BROTHER!
Hey, I realized something. You can search in KZread "Rolling Stones and Bonnie Rait - Shine A Light" and see the video, instead of just trolling the video you just could do that. If you hadn't watch the video, OH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN MY LIFE!!!!! This video is "how we make this performance". If you don't like it, OK, just don't insult them.
She brings out the Best in Everybody she sings with!
Браво!!
That was awesome...I have loved Bonnie almost as long as I've loved the Stones...got to see Bonnie way back in like '78 and the Stones in '82 I think...both are big parts of the soundtrack of my life!

I was at this show and saw them do their duet...It was a pleasant surprise...
meu mestre meu grande ídolo o melhor cantor na melhor banda do mundo amo os stones
Bonnie Raitt.. 💙Nick of Time
Interesting. It was cool to see Sheryl Crow do the song "Happy" with Keith Richards. Now Bonnie with the Stones! My request: Bonnie singing on the song "Infamy". I can totally hear her doing a super cool version. Note: Check out Bonnie's version of Gerry Rafferty's song "Right Down The Line". Very, very heartfelt and artful. Awesome slide, awesome guitar weaving & instrumentation..you HAVE to hear it.
omg superrrrrrrr
hey Mick, that song was first heard by most of us , on the "Exile on Main Street" record. You may not remember, but WE DO! i was 14 years old in 1974, got my first money of my own, went and bought your "Exile on Main Street", record., with the postcards!. Still have it today, 2018. 'SHINE a Light", is still one of my favourite songs, how come you guys never play it live? god bless, gz
For all those who go Yeah Mick Jagger's a great frontman! Jagger is a wonderfully talented Musician as well.!! 😂❤️

the rolliing stones are the best...
I want to see The Rolling Stones in Ecuador....please!!
Bonnie, Bonnie, slightly older girl but as good as old wine! It is quite interesting duo.
What Talent! Ms. Raitt loaded equipment for Buddy Guy and Junior Wells? Is that what she said? Bonnie should have been in the lime light!
Nice that Ronnie got to do the solo
Pure fuckin English rock n roll 💙

More like 40 years ago Mick this is from Exile On Main St 72'

Longer than that, Mick wrote the song while Brian was still in the band in '68 but after he died it got re written slightly and put on, like you said, Exile on Main St in '72

Has Keith got Waylon Jennings' guitar here? I've never seen anyone else play one that looked like that.

Yes he does. That’s the tele Waylon plays in the Dukes of Hazard intro
Back in the 70s when the movie Ladies and Gentleman came out.. I SWEAR Shine a Light was in the movie!!!! I bought the DVD recently but it wasnt on it!! I want to see Micks hand on the microphone as he begins.. Saw you stretched out in room 10 - 09......where is that!!!???????

Why wasn't Bonnie on Blue and Lonesome?
Mick forgot that Nicky Hopkins was part of the band then....
@Methilde
3 жыл бұрын
No, cause lt was largely a Jagger / Leon Russell creation and recorded with him. By the way, it could be Hopkins in the same style.
Ronny 😘😘😘
yeah 881 they go on where you and i stay speechless about artworks
Elementary?
I wonder if that's one of Waylon Jennings original guitars Keith's playing or just a replica?
@jonathanjohnson8656

I've been looking into it. It has tuners like Waylon Jennings used. Not like the signature fender guitar marketed here. Found a site " another Keith telecaster " it did discuss it a bit. One person said it Absolutely is the telecaster used for The Dukes of Hazzard. It cites logo , string tree placement, etc, to say it's definitely the Dukes Tele. Wouldn't That be Something?

Its got the B-bender on it. You can see him at 3:21 do a bend

Yea it's the actual Dukes intro tele that was previously owned by Waylon

Keiths is a Waylon Jennings tele.
Brian
why the hell was there an advert for kesha before this video?
Is anybody else seeing a similarity in the beginning of this video, from Worried About You from Tattoo You? haha I thought he was about to re-create it.

My motto: Shine A Light...Michelle L LaMay M.A., the Dean & CEO Cannabis University™Inc of Colorado
and sadly one of the least known.
as you seen in the simpsons "wheel chair tour 2012"
That was a 37 years ago,
Please, do the talking before or after the song, not in between. Please.
Isn't it supposed to be spelled "Raitt"?
I bet Keef insisted that Bonnie didn't play the guitar - imagine him being upstaged by a friend and acolyte of the man Keef famously refuses to give any dues to, the great Ry Cooder! I bet he still has nightmares about the public scolding he got off Chuck Berry :-) Shame really because Mick is gracious enough to share the stage with someone far more talented in the vocal department then he is.

Well.. that was nothing but a tease...
Bnbnn
Woody starts the solo quite nicely, but Keith has to play his crappy out of tune licks over Ronnies solo!!! :-(
Blasphemy! Better install adblock plus to protect yourself from this shit! :D
Too much talk. It’s bullshit
Браво!!
