SO much soul - NO one can rock the Blues like she does!! SO much nuance to her voice (and to her guitar playing - check out some of her other live videos*) - she is SUCH a treasure!! ...SO Real!!! So true. Some musicians can emote through their instruments, and Hornsby is definitely one of them. I recently listened to an old Journey song, Send Her My Love, and Neil Schon does the same thing with an electric guitar (not an instrument you think of as emotional lol) in that song. The guitar solo sounds almost wistful.

I just pretended to be cool about it, while in fact I was, and still am, shattered. That was a month ago. Since then everything went downhill. It's just difficult to put your feelings away and stil try to be there for her when she needs me. Bruce Hornsby played beautifully and was fully featured (btw. he started as Linda Ronstadts pianist) but yet again Bonnie missed the chance to demo her lead guitarist /slide guitar mastery on an important occasion of record. "The Glow" is the masterpiece like "Nick of Time" not a bad cut on it. A real sleeper,, as it didnt make the cut to CD in the beginning of that technology. I think its her best offering.

There are songs that are just perfect, and this is one of them. You can remake them, reimagine them, but you can’t make it better.

Says every old fogie in their generation since the beginning of music. Just because you can't find stuff doesn't mean you should crap on generations of music you may be too old in the heart to hear.
