The ROB HERRING interview | EP2 of 30 + 2

Спорт

I managed to sit down with the legend Rob Herring and talk about growing up racing in South Africa, making the move over to racing in Europe, the differences between the 2 countries, foxhills vmxdn , being star struck, racing friends and Supercross picks. Enjoy 😊

Hello. What a joy to see Rob Herring again. I was able to see him on several occasions in some grand prizes. Very technical and strong pilot, with his Apico luggage. Great interview. Thank you very much Neville, good job.

I met Rob and his mechanic at Worcester Offroad motorcycke academy when i was 10, he had just arrived back fae South Africa, was with Roger Harvey and Tim Matthews, i was crap on a bike at that point but i did scoot up the big hill and did a massive high jump onto the back of the track and landed sideways then blew my bike up on 1st day of a weeks training lol. Was in 1986.

Rob knows his potatoes and Neville is the best S/African.I've ever met be it UK .German Japanese ,this guy left his home at 19 in I think.u see Capetown but anyway you are one of the most humble and honest guys and I've seen more shady haunts and old jails that I'm classed as PTSD and all the other mentaltags they put on us . but in circles from class to crack iv e met em all .luckily I didn't judge nev prematurely as I am a MX fan of the highest. So to come of my 600xr Honda Paris Dakar. And I end up with this ginger Aussie lol in the next bed j just had a nice to meet you moment and thought yeah thank fuck not a crank …he was the most helpful. Giving and humble guy I'd come across. In many years. I grew protective of Neville thru probably selfish reasons as word had got round that Travis pastrana was on the ward so I tried to make sure his visitors were comfortable and I pulled the curtain round them for privacy and he respected me for that and we sent for breakfast together 1 morning and we felt at ease and nev is a great talker .I respect him more as a man now even more so than b4 cos I had good idea who he was but he didn't know i t then .NEVSTA I LOVE YOU BRO .I GOING backwards WITH INFECTION BUT ITS YOUR TURN To SHINE. YOU'RE A REAL PEOPLE S STAR COS YOU'RE FUKIN GANGSTA NOT BULLS hits BANTER MY GEE .STAY REAL .GET YOUR FIX OV 2strokes(SO jealous )BUT MY FAVE GUY IN THE MX WORLD IS THE #272 Bradshaw fella .real deal ILL SAY NO MORE Carl w.
