The Resurrection of Raphael: 1999 Kawasaki KX100

Three years ago, we picked up this 1999 KX100 with a bad big-end bearing. Bearing play was like 6mm! Dad was overseas for work, so the kids started the rebuild with tele-mechanic advice via Facetime. New crank and top end, all new bearings, new steering bearings, new radiator, and a sweet rattle-can paint job on that frame. Anyway, we got to about 90% complete and then Dad came home and the project got shelved for a year or so while we searched for a particular part. With some pro welding of a cracked inner clutch cover and machinist truing, the bike holds oil and runs great! While the suspension is tight and sealed, it's no match for the KTM 105XC in the garage...but that said, it got a full-day thrash session with both boys sending it. It ran great, and it's a considerably easier bike to ride than the high-strung 105XC!
So, project finished and going up for sale to get out of the garage.
