I absolutely hated this. The only good thing I can say is that Gordon’s US voice actor put effort into his role. And they kept Thomas’ original whistle. But unless something interesting happens, I’m never watching this reboot again. I couldn’t even be bothered to watch Episode 2. 1 was enough for me.

Man this would actually be kinda cool if it was anything but Thomas. The animation is really good but again, why waste it on a franchise that became so beloved because of how grounded in reality it was? Japanese children's shows are weird since if they made a Japanese Thomas anime it would ether be 1 to 1 with the RWS or it would be something crazy. Actually I don’t like how they portrayed Gordon in the reboot. If I can remember, Gordon would NEVER pull a freight train willingly.

I can be loyal to SOME parts of Miller CGI Thomas and BWBA, but All Engines Go is where I finally put on the brakes.

Erm, they didn't dislike the uploads. Because the users told them not to dislike a person for giving flack. I mean, the Miller Era at least had the characters on Sodor, the music songs were decent, the human staff were still there, and Happy Birthday Sir ended the era on an actual solid note. Hero of the Rails definitely has respect, while this does not. This is pretty much empty, chaotic, watered down and outlandish mush that rips off the Hit and Miller era, Cars, Chuggington, Mighty Express and My Little Pony in the most toddler drivel way. Campbell Bryer should be ashamed.

There may be hope that this fails, snits Mattel stepped in, the biggest problem for Thomas has been distribution. There is a big disconnect on who makes the episodes, who makes the merch, and who releases the episodes, because non of the correlate. If BWBA was a failure this is going to fail, that and kid's parents have said they don't like it, from what I've heard.

Seeing rolling stock move on its own is weird, but there was a little bit of that in the original series, like when the troublesome trucks somehow pushed the engines.

Every time I think about Mattel and Thomas, I think about that picture from the railway series where the engines about to get scrapped are looking down at the man with the blowtorch. That man is Mattel. Would make a good meme tho

Agreed. At least when I was younger, I grew up with the original Thomas and Friends on dvd brought to you by Anchor Bay. I was honestly thrilled of how old the originals were and that they inspired me to make a dozen shorts like that on the internet. That’s because I cared about the original Thomas and Friends. Wilbert Awdry cared. Andrew Brenner cared. We all cared. Mattel unfortunately doesn’t care.

I have to agree. The only upside is that Edward and Henry appeared, but then again baby-like Thomas refers to his old friends as "those trains".

I really feel bad for you, man. As an expert of the franchise, it does break my heart to see Thomas doing these wacky cartoon antics that a train should _never_ indulge himself in.

I still think it's going to fail in one or two ways. 1. It will have very bad feedback and 2. It won't be unique and it will just blend with the competing train shows and sails will start to drop faster and faster until Mattel is forced to either fix up the franchise or sell it to a company that actually cares about their customers. Either way all engines go will likely fail.

when people say that it's not our show it's made for kids I get pissed off. I get pissed off because that's not the point. The point is children deserve better this franchise deserves better. You know what else was for kids. The Railway series and the original episode. Saying "it's made for kids" doesn't pardon it from any criticism. Kids are not so stupid that they will accept anything. Also what about the kids who watched BWBA and liked it and had all the toys would feel overwhelmed by all these sudden changes with no time to transition. Also if it is it's own thing, then why all the references to the previous 24 seasons that new fans won't know. Also you know what else has an adult and child fanbase? My Little Pony, Transformers, and Spongebob, and when they get criticized it's legitimate but if something has the "for little kids" label on it it's immune to criticism to long time fans? That's not how it work, give me one good reason why Hasbro is able to embrace the fact they have older fans that aren't the target audience and put them into consideration but with Mattel they don't care about those fans which is ridiculous since these people genuinely care. I've seen that "made for kids" excuse or "its not made for you" through out comments, and quite frankly I'm quite sick of hearing it:/ KIDS ARE NOT STUPID like certain people and mattel think they are. 1) Children and Adults do deserve better storytelling and not insulting, and lazy made trash shows. 2) "Made for kids" excuse is a person's lazy response to silence any person's criticism he/she may have for kids show as well as any shows in general. 3) Plus Kids cartoons are made by adults. How can a kids show be just for kids if its made by grown-ups? So "made for kids" statement kind is dumb to use.

This reboot sucks and so does Mattel, I hope Mattel goes bankrupt for this.

Watching all engines go is like taking someone on a 2 mile hike just to show them a dog turd that you found to be impressive

Who's Reginald?

When I saw an image of one of the engines using his wheels as hands, I cringed so hard that I watched a cute pokemon cat video to cheer myself up.

I couldn't even get past the one minute mark... How could they say it's based off The railway series when it's the furthest thing from it, Reverend w awdry probably would absolutely hate this. I can't even comprehend...

I just realized that Thomas has no coupling rods or crankshaft.

After a minute of actually watching the reboot.....half my brain left

Pros: Gordon and Cranky's voices are decent. Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE

I did warn you Edit 1: The only normal ones is Gordon and Cranky (and maybe James and Percy) Edit 2: Hit damaged Thomas, Mattel only delivered the final blow

I really wonder if Mattel is proud of how the reboot turned out

Mattel, why would you have the audacity to think that making All Engines Go what's a good idea, there are many things wrong with you but I'm sure everyone in the comment section already knows I'm just not going to say it. Why in God's name would you ruin the childhood in all of us when we were watching something that gave us spirit and compassion Thomas & Friends was amazing at first but until then you kept making worst and worse nothing was wrong with the classical series, CGI what's good too but who in the right mind, think that making all engines go would be a positive force to the Thomas & Friends fandom
