I also really hate that it's not free - at least 2 start. It will give you 2 weeks, before you have to pay 80 bucks for the year, but that's not even a whole month. It says it can be free if you manually insert your own transactions - but then it's a glorified excel sheet, I can do that myself. Seems like a missed opportunity is you ask me to really grow your user base.

In these uncertain times, it's more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy.

Here in the UK all the credit agencies have a conflict of interests in this sort of thing too. Best thing is to just not have credit and save some of what you earn for what you want. There is no such thing as a free lunch. You have to pay for it. If you wait, you will pay less and keep more of what you earn rather than giving it away to a bank or other financial institution

How the heck do you not mention Every Dollar ismade by Dave Ramsey. From the reviews I have watched it does budgeting the same way excel does, and does not have the features that Mint had for automating tracking of expenses into various categories. All while charging $17.99/month or $80 per year. More reasonable but still $80 more per year than mint was. This entire bash on credit karma was a giant add for every dollar without discussion of the monetary incentives for the company George works for. I like George, and that might have been an oversight but it certainly qualifies under deceptive business practices.
