    Most people don’t realise it, but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My dad, as I remember, started saving for retirement quite late, but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investment monthly and it was completely passive.

    This is really amazing though. I'm curious as to how he did it. Was it real estate? Or he was a market enthusiast?

    Haha. Investing enthusiast? Not really. Our family got introduced to a financial advisor about four years before my dad retired. That was what changed things. I've been using the same now and I think my retirement income would be on the right track.

    I agree that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance

  • @ErinWarner-zc9jy
    @ErinWarner-zc9jy16 сағат бұрын

    I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

    A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K

    Paycheck to paycheck....mostly because their income is consumed by payments for things that are not necessary but it looks good pretending to be well off. One look at the classifieds, you'll see things for sale simply because people finally realised they cant afford the payments. People need to change their mindsets and attitudes to get out of debt slavery.

    In Turkey, somehow men feels head of house and they feel responsible of house expenses. Therefore, i told several times to my husband for combining our money but he refuses and then i told him to put in a join account and again he refuses. However whenever i bought something from online, he always needs to say "something " and then when i say him that we need for instance to buy frying pan, he always negotiate about how much we need this item then i feel fed up.

    My wife and I BOTH make (around) $21/H in our jobs, both working (around) 35 hours a week. BEFORE TAXES. (($21x35H)x52w)x2 of us....Let's just call it $76.5K/Year. BEFORE TAXES. We DON'T EVEN QUALIFY for a mortgage on a $250K house. The average home price in this country is approaching $400K. In our area, there is a massive shortage of sub-$200K homes. Our Realtor couldn't find one IN A FIFTEEN MILE RADIUS that was move-in-ready (three in total, all needing rather serious repairs that we're not prepared to pay for.) If we both picked up an extra 5 hours a week at work, we could add almost $11K/Y to that, making $87.5K/Y,BT. I'm not sure it's worth spending that time away from our infant firstborn. If one of us went back to school and got a better paying position in our field, it would mean continuing to work full time AND school full-time while being a parent full time. Time is so valuable. These are just some observations of the struggles being faced by the average American citizen.

    I stuck to my plan at both Costco and sams. Went there for certain smoothie ingredients, overnight oats ingredients and 2 snacks on the list. Got all of that. Maybe next week i go back for a avocados and hummus cup because the sell by date will be past due. I mean it should be fine until next week. Thats why Costco aisel isn't labeled is because they want you to walk tbe whole store. Spend more $$

But they have given me convenience, and cash back. The only part that I am becoming more aware of is that the sweet sweet cash that I get from them comes from those who are paying the high interest rates. My soul is disturbed by this fact. My biggest money mistake was getting a credit card! I was young and heading overseas for a trip the bank offered a $2000 credit card even though I was casually employed. Got back from holiday and couldn’t find a job! The bank offered to cancel and write off the debt if I paid $1360, so I begged my mother for the money and she let me pay her back interest free. Fast forward 10 years and I put in an offer on a house and am trying to get financing from the same bank. They refused me because of the credit card even though any mark on your credit file is only meant to last 7 years, saying it was on their own internal records. The seller refused to extend the contract to find another lender and the property was sold to someone else. The property 12 years on has increased in value by $1 million dollars! So that credit card cost me 1 million dollars!!!

    Stock ownership stats: Only 3-5% of the U.S. population held stocks in the late-1920s. It was 4-5% in the mid-1950s. This rose to 18% of U.S. households holding stock in 1962, 31.8%, in 1989, and 51.9% in 2001. Just before the GFC it hit highs of about 62-63%, and then dropped to 56% of adults during 2021. Ownership numbers vary predictably with education, ethnicity, and income.

    I signed up for a Chase Sapphire Preferred with a $750 sign up bonus and $90 dollar year fee. You have to spend 4k in 3 months to get the bonus. I will hit that with three months of fixed monthly expenses even if I paid everything by check in the mail; I am not spending more money simply by using credit. I will make $660 dollars for free simply by taking advantage of the offer. I pay the card off as soon as I use it and never carry an interest accruing balance. It’s literally free money.
