As a cyclist, if they could record longer than 60 seconds at a time (or better yet, record the last 60 seconds into RAM), and last longer than 30 minutes or an hour of recording, then they'd be a game changer for recording cycling commutes in case of an accident.

Yeah, that would be a great use for them. I would even use these as a dashcam, since I'm always wearing sunglasses while driving.

100% agree, I feel more than 60 seconds and landscape would be top priority. The 30 second cache, I think with the current tech, battery is just not big enough, and also maybe heating! But more than 60 seconds should be allowed, let it be personal decision to drain it faster.

As a schizophrenic that hallucinate sounds and visuals, I would love to be able to record my entire day and if I doubt if something actually happened I could go back and rewatch it. This could be a game changer for people with disabilities.

This is an excellent point Ty for sharing this. As someone who has owned these one month and has disabilities, I absolutely love them. They don’t meet all of my needs currently but they’re pretty close

Mics are very impressive. These would be fun to use on holiday.

I'm used to strapping a gopro to my head/chest a lot especially for vacations. I also listen to music a lot so maybe I'll save up the money to pick up a pair. I also love your cats! 🥺 ❤

Great review! They looks amazing too. During covid lockdowns I kinda got addicted to KZread walking videos as a way of 'getting out of the house' virtually. These would be great for that, also holidays too. Yes Vic your cats are adorable and mine has the same issue with the phone... I can use that to justify these lol

Facebook/Meta is literally the last company I'd trust with this level of privacy. I hope we have other options soon.

Can we talk about not being able to change then lens. I went to ray ban and the sales lady said I couldn’t switch out the lens cause it’s hard to do so. They also said they don’t offer insurance for them if you scratch the lens and want to get the lens fixed.

How good are they in answering calls? Do you can use speakers in all apps? Also, is it possible for visually impaired users to order a lens with the desired ones (l mean, for example, is it possible for a farsighted person to order a lens with a minus number?), if not, is it possible for an optician to change the lens after purchase?

How are these red lenses? Were you able to wear them for longer durations??

Love the review as I bought two waferers. I also love the term "Glass-Holes"...lol. I love mine as I am not having to use my phone or wiping out my big sony A7III or go pro to capture quick photos or videos especially from POV. Thanks again for a great review.

This gen 2 is amazing. FB did a fantastic job on this. All the basic yet essential features work very well: videos/ photos, speaker & mic. The photo needs improvement though. I took picture of a paper with words on it and the words are very blurry, even in good lighting.

Needed more light or to focus in more- photo is near perfect. Its video that's kinda lame

I have a pair of these and for some reason when on phone calls they say I sound far away. Any fix for this?

Thank you for the video/sound samples. Is it possible to film what you're drawing? Is the autofocus good enough?

Could be useful for taking photos / videos during a hike where typically I don't want to be constantly pulling my phone out while in nature but am often presented with beautiful landscapes that would be nice to capture

Great video as always. I’d like to know what media, if any, gets sent directly to Meta/Facebook and what do they have the rights to? Facebook has had some pretty sketch pricey issues in the past and I think a few of them are still ongoing so before I slap a Facebook camera to my face, what do they get?

I'm very glad that this video took the time to explore some of the ethical considerations of wearables.

I was never able to get the last gen versions to work with an iPhone or an Android phone. The app was terrible. Hopefully they’ve made improvements there.

since no one else replied i figured i would. I’ve heard that they can take 4k photos and 2k60fps video, and that the stories were substantially lower resolution with a weird square aspect ratio as opposed to the new ones more normal rectangular aspect ratio

Ya, very strange that it was not brought up. I think it’s for the good, it’s best for the AI chatbot to improve outside of the limelight.

The M1 MacBook Pro "issue" is a bug with bluetooth on Sonoma. Wait for a fix or simply unpair from your phone first, then repair after rebooting your MacBook.

Is these were capable of continuous recording, which overwrote earlier recording, and there was a capture button.....having a DVR for real life would be extremely useful

I totally agree with having a COVER for the lenses, I love POV photos/camera footages but sometimes people do think I'm some stalker on my morning runs when they see that I have 2 micro "cameras" pointing at them, regardless if they know theirs suppose to be a pulsating light or not they just find it uncomfortable.

That would be an improvement for more considerate users, but the burden is still on the user. Creeps and glassholes just wouldn’t use the cover.

The quality of the mics and audio... I'd like to see the release a version of this without the camera... just the mics and speakers!
