The air-purifying table being featured in this video irritated me so much. Like, by the standards of an air-purifier (a fairly non-minimalist thing to begin with), it's pretty much normal. And by the standards of a table, it is everything but minimalist. So weird.
I think the idea of minimalism is not buying things, so this video feels a little ironic.

Moreover, many of the products had some added gimmick to them, which in my opinion is not the point of minimalism. You would want all your consumer products to be stripped to their bare basic functionality. He was buying things marketed as "techy" more than minimalist.

That was actually an immaculately interesting video to watch. I don't think I would normally last a tech video lasting for almost an hour but this was almost like a good episode of a TV show. You handle your job so well! Got charisma, got fair points, got tech knowledge background and got great footage. And yes, a real minimalist would never ever ever do something like that - so the title is more of a clickbait - but again, it is a very well made video and I enjoyed it a lot.
US tea kettles use half the power of UK kettles due to the type of power grid. If speed is your goal, use a UK built kettle. But man, that "Oooh" right after your sip of coffee was satisfying to watch.

East asian product design is typically minimalistic or multipurpose to help conserve space since the home sizes are relatively small. It is crazy though that a lot of the imported products are twice the price we can get them locally.
As a coffee nerd, I did want to point out to anyone who is like Arun, that you can buy ground coffee (including those fancy places, they often will do it at the counter if you ask). So yes, you can buy a whole other setup for grinding your own coffee, but you can also just buy the coffee already ground for you, so you just have that machine. P.s. drink your coffee however YOU like it, not how others think you should have it.

Also, i want to mention that the kettle he showed is pretty overprized for a premium gooseneck kettle. Take the Fellow Stag EKG for example, which looks better imo, has precise temperature control and a timer and costs around $165. There is even the Fellow Stag EKG Pro for $195, which adds a color lcd display and a couple of smart features, as well as the Studio Edition with a glass base for $225. So all of those are significantly cheaper and have more functionality. (i'm not trying to advertise Fellow specifically, they just have the best looking kettle imo)

I'd want a Vestax sideways turntable meant to be played strapped over your shoulder, like an 80s KB solo makin' Lead singers & guitarists look even cooler, hehe. They claimed most of their decks would play sideways but sadly I never found out. That pamphlet introduced the worlds only DIY Vinyl Lathe to cut test-press/one-offs from special "12in blank records" (~$20). Iirc it had big Temp indicator and Pressure dial for you to keep temp in green for best cut. Opposite that was a normal tonearm+stylus to check if your 'freshest cut' came out. Cost like $3-6k did not do well as high cost limited it's penetration & Vestax gear had NEW features but plastic build quality did not compare to $800 military grade technics 1200s. Also soon after this $1k Final Scratch was announced and scratch demos sounded good. Allowed mixing, scratching ANY TRACK (mp3s or even video!) This was an incredibly fun video to watch. Definitely some gadgets I'd consider getting if I just have extra money (the fan, the tea pot, the coffee maker and the cooker) and a whole bunch of items I'll gladly never own. The pan and the toy both seem like the companies are laughing at anyone who buys it.
gooseneck kettles are a scam unless you're specifically making pourover coffee. You'll scream with impatience while you wait for your teacup to fill up. the pour rate is so annoyingly slow, the capacity is stunted, and the boil time is always slow. No point. @@Draconic404 top of the line PCs can have peak power draw of a bit over 1000 watts. If your outlet provides eg. 1800 watts, no problem. My kettle uses 2400 watts, and I can buy ones at 3000 watts no problem. My outlet can provide around 3500 watts. Just a bit of context for you. Your PC runs at the same wattage as mine, were both not using everything the outlet can provide. My outlet just has more to spare, which e.g. a kettle can fully utilize.
The Playdate is actually more of a developer item. Its a platform that is easy to make games for. Its a good beginning and good practice. It already has so many games made for it and people learning with it AND so many games published for it. All in all its more for developers than anything.

It's also great for kids. My kid doesn't need to have access to the raw horsepower and ability to play 80K games, I just want them to have a simple and fun time. Let a 6 year old review it next, and it'll get a 10/10.
Got to love with the overpriced TV in a suitcase, when you were showing off the TikTok mode that you very quickly moved it away from that whenever you realized what kind of TikTok it was about to become... 😅
The "zero tolerance" gadgets are 2 separately machined parts. You can get insane precision with EDM, but the "cut" width isn't super small. It is incredibly consistent though, that's how you can get such nice tolerances (by including that in your model). The grain is essential to the illusion. You put the two separately machined parts together, then machine their surfaces as one.
About the minimalism use of kitchen things, in Italy we have a say among students: "pour my coffee on the fried chicken, thank you" that means avoiding utensils and kitckenware just to save up on washing effort. So, I feel it.

For the toy, it is cut from 2 different parts of the piece of metal and then put together. It is called EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) that uses a thin wire to do the cutting while the entire thing is submerged in distilled water.

You don't need EDM to do it though... You just have to adjust the sizes to how much your cut removes from the material.

As described by Steve Mould in his video "How these impossibly thin cuts are made", zero tolerance parts are made by using two separate parts. First, you cut the hole, then you cut the part that goes into the hole,. It happens submerged in liquid as well.

The minimal editing and the visuals made this video better. It reminded me of Marques Brownlee's style. Compared to your other videos, this one was more satisfying to watch and less tiring. Please continue making your videos like this.

This is too formal and boring, and you should have noticed that every video edit matches with the subject of the video. I don't like Marques Brownlee's video just because they are too formal and seem like they're meant for older people, whereas Mrwhosetheboss's videos are meant for a wide variety of peoples starting from teenagers to tech Grandpa.
