A few years back you’d pay a premium for leather and today you pay a premium for leather free materials. Amazing how things change.

I just want cloth to become the luxury option again. Cloth doesn't get burning hot in the sun in the summer, doesn't feel cold in the winter, breathes well, and doesn't require regular conditioning. Toyota and Volvo got it right using wool upholstery.

I never understand this argument when it comes to off road capable SUV. Is everyone in a 911 Turbo S using them primarily for track days? Its a toy just like anything else. It'll spend 1% of its life (at most) using its capability to its fullest. Doesn't make it any less fun/enjoyable to own.

Great review ❤ I love my p400 just about the right balance in the whole range 😊
I believe the window styling is called “frameless window.” It allows for better design lines, but it’s also practical, reducing potential leak points.
Totally new, yet looks just like the old one 🤣
I had a 2015 Sport with the Supercharged V8 and it was a glorious vehicle. Impeccable reliability too.

I think those fancy dials with screens that can be multifunction are a good solution, for integrating multiple controls without burying them in some dense infotainment system.
What percentage of the price is based on expected warranty repair costs? 80%?
Nice depreciating asset!
Will look even better when sitting at the mechanic
Some really interesting button design and layout.

100 series Land Cruiser also had cieling climate vents. ‘98-‘07 Lexus LS460 in 2007 also had lighted seatbelt buckles. Nearly 20 years ago. The earlier LS430 may also have had it, not sure.

Honda brv also has ceiling climate vents and Toyota hiace , as do a lot of the bigger cars in south Asia. It's quite interesting because in western cars the size of a hiace or brv they tend to put it in the b or c pillars or in the back of the centre console. But Japanese/ South Asian large cars tend to have it in the ceiling
Actually just saw one of these this morning when I went to Einstein's for a bagel. I was wondering what trim that was

I wonder how many of these are actually purchased rather than leased. Given their lack of reliability and poor resale value, it seems like an odd duck to own outright

It's weird. I thought the previous Explorer looked like it 'borrowed' many of the older Rover's design features. However now the new Rover decided to incorporate the 'unique' Explorer elements into their new design... It's like they're cribbing off of each other! lol And I still don't know how Ford didn't get any complaints for completely copying the iconic Aston Martin Grille design for their 2013-2020 Focus models
Love that Doug’s videos are now filmed on the Cheyenne US Air Force underground complex campus 😂
I had an 04 Discovery S fully at home on a trail, I would be worried about this with scratches etc.

Some nice use of physical controls here. I'm sure in the near future, Tesla style screen-only controls are going to be seen as a budget low-end option.

Switch between drive and reverse with a single push/pull of the gear lever. That's nice. Needlessly complicated in some other cars.
What do you think about the reliability problems? Its one of my biggest concerns about LRover
I was driving past one of these in black on the freeway yesterday and noticed the flat paintwork. Including the one shown in Doug’s video, why does the paint work not have the lustre and reflectiveness of previous models or other premium brands?! If I were silly and wealthy enough to buy a RangeRover, I expect to be able to see a reflection in the paint work.
