I don't know about this vehicle Doug... I mean it's alright but the fact that I have to slide my own table around without electronic controls is kind of a dealbreaker for me. Would love to see that be automated in the next generation. I'll just stick with my '96 Camry

When instead of taking one second to open the door now accessing the fridge is a three step process with mulitple possible failure points, brilliant Also the table is semi-automatic but to access something on it you have to swing all the way to the side instead of having it directly in front of you

@@XMarkxyz totally agree, imagine getting in the back with a drink in hand needing the cup holder and having to press buttons to access it 🧐😂 They should use some "wave " type function like MB new S class

For that price the controls respond time are a bit slow waiting for the animation, such as the temperature changing to fan speed. I just want instant feedback so I don't have to constantly look back at it to see if I hit the right settings.

I have now now owned four Jaguars in the last 8 years and also knows someone that is on their second Range Rover, I can say without a doubt that their vehicles are reliable. Oil changes and tires is all I have dealt with and when you sit in one of these Range Rovers you can see and feel the difference in build quality. This model is a bit over the top but there are people out there looking for stuff like this, and if you can afford it, why not. Been a car guy all my life and while Jag had their problems years ago, I have not had any issues with newer models. Our friend with the Rover regularly takes it off-road when he is hiking in the mountains and skiing in the winter. How cool is it when you can go four-wheeling and be comfortable? Very :)

This is possibly the most beautifully built and upholstered Range Rover ever. It is extraordinarily elegant and luxurious in its designed while still maintaining a very modern and slightly minimalist feel, while simultaneously maintaining the warmth and tradition in its design language .

I mean Mercedes and BMW have extremely complicated cars that are reliable but RR is obviously a much lower volume manufacturer with much fewer resources Than manufacturers like MB and BMW

I was fortunate to take one of this these off road with land rover UK. This thing drove through almost 1m deep water trenches. Its off roading capabilities were astounding.

Doug you share least time to main feature of any car to driving experience we subscribers of your great videos everytime have to get detailed information about it from another recourses.

Looked at the units that Doug wasn't sure what they were, and saw µg/m³ and was like, "Oh, that's micrograms per cubic meter". Never even seen that unit of measure before but it makes sense as density over a given volume. Standard measure's kinda great that way.

If this were any other automaker besides Land Rover, I wouldn't be concerned about all this stuff failing. But in this Range Rover, it's an inevitable nightmare.

I think the redesign of the RR is just right. It looks like a proper range rover. It has some similarities with other range rovers. It looks very modern but classy. What more do we want? Does it really need to be completly different from the old one?

It low key annoys me that Doug didn't mention what is the armrest on the driver and passenger side for. What is the weird white thing :))). What happened Doug? Why didn't you show us all the quirks????

I think car tech and design has peaked a bit. Going from a 2003 to a 2013 Range was a quantum leap in tech and refinement. But going from the 2013 to this new 2023 is a much smaller step forward.

I have the 2024 RR 400 mhev. U.K. In my opinion the only minus Factor, ( and it's a big one.) It's like driving a wheeled laptop. Whilst fiddling with the touch screens, eyes are off the road, The trucks are huge nowadays, I don't fancy slamming into the back of one!! Nuff said? Otherwise even @ the price of a small house, the car is brilliant. As they have always been.

I know this may seem like a dumb question , but are full size SUVS like this Range Rover for example common in Norway?

So what happens if you don't push the table all the way back to original position and press the button, does it just rip off when it recedes into the console?

Amazing review and can imagine the service cost for the melted air suspensions must be amazing too.

The cupholders make me nervous, what happens if you accidently push the button while a dink is in place? Kinda the same for the table, would it break if you don't fold it into place before pressing the return button?

Gosh! SOOOOO many exquisite things to break. And in a Land Rover Range Rover, they certainly will.

I can't believe they make you fold the sides of the table in and make you then push it back before it can electronically lower. The cheek of these car manufactures is astounding!

Do the carpets and sound insulation come out easily to dry, if the foot wells have water ingress off-road ?

I think that they nailed this. Simple elegance. Don't think they needed the big stand out changes.

Man, Hoovie is going to spend a lot of money at the Wizard fixing all the motors on every item in like 10 years time.

It has the nicest BACK seats I've ever seen for any car ever, including RR or Bentley.

You can also get the same center console controls and infotainment system in a 60k Jaguar F Pace. I’d like Doug to do a review of the new F Pace in the two tone interior. I have it and it’s very nice and an underrated car in my opinion.

The flip-down portal in the front passenger seatback of a Toyota Century (so you can extend your legs and rest your feet up there) might still be one of my favorite luxury features of any car ever made.

I think the rear is stunning. Which is good because I think owners will mainly see that side from flatbed tow trucks.

my 2017 seat ateca has infortainment screen with g forces and offorading screen. And for us europeans, that rover self driving so called, is called lane assist over here. On all the time, only doesnt lane shift. Turns curves, avoids objects if necessary, reads roadsigns etc.

Doug should get one and diligently document, in video form, his warranty claims. I’d watch every single second.

I'd love to see that. What cracks me up is the fact that he actually sticks to Japanese since he bought a great Land Cruiser. I mean the man knows his quirks and features.

Knowing me, I would put that table to the test to see just how far I could go with retracting it without pushing it back where it belongs first. I'm sure they have sensors that prevent damaging anything and it probably wont retract if the table is pulled towards the seats, but I'm willing to bet it will drop with the edges flipped out still and just flip them back to closed with force once it reaches the bottom... Also brings another point, I guarantee a bunch of these tables will be stuck up in the future because a sensor will commonly fail preventing retraction and the parts will no longer be available.

"a bunch of these tables will be stuck up in the future..." And how far into the future will that be? I find it hard to imagine Rover discontinuing a sensor like that for the most expensive SUV they've ever made, in just a few years, or even a decade. This thing costs ½ the price of median income home ownership in the US. Someone that spends that type of money on an SUV probably has the funds and the desire to ensure a failed table sensor gets replaced. Rover isn't going to leave that's person high and dry.

2 questions: Do the door handles retract to flush with the body when the car starts? What are those white baseball bats on front seat armrests??

What are those nobs sticking out of the armrests? I might have missed that part if you mentioned them.

The price of this car from last gen to now is crazy, my mom had the highest trim lbw supercharged (minus autobiography) and she paid new $140,000 brand new, now the base model is $100,000+!!!!!!

A lot of Range Rover owners go to horse racing and use the rear tailgate to watch the racing and can tune the radio to the commentary and play that through the rear speakers.

Throw back to the older models that also have these knobs. They can be turned to lock the armrest in any position basically.
