Me too. You can get eels in London in old fashioned eel and pie shops. Very much dying out now. Real shame, our culture is disappearing. Too many burger bars. Nothing wrong with a burger. But it has no history with lots of people in Europe. So good on Asia for keeping some food history going

They are farm raised, not wild caught.

@@JamesJones-cx5pk. I was under the impression that eels only bred in the open sea, not sure how you can farm them. That’s why I posted my comment. It’s only very recently that the full lifecycle of the eel has been understood, but feel free to check it out.

いやあ~初めて拝見しました、浜松に20歳から来て62年「浜名湖」は知り尽くして居たと思いましたが、舞阪や弁天より少し北の地域かな? これなら買いたい、美味そうで食の安全も完璧そうです!
