Hello. Thanks for the review. - I have been told by others that this plate is a "Dance" plate; best used for indoor Artistic compulsory and optional dance elements. - Do you know of any info on whether this plate can handle (double and triple) jumps and advanced freestyle spins as well? The lack of pivot pin is a cause for concern with regard to my question. But perhaps you all know of some info on this that isn't common knowledge. Any input that you have regarding these plates being skated on for freestyle (jumps and spins, etc.) would be very helpful and much appreciated.

yes I have seen this video as well, thanks. the red arius are being discontinued. looking to make a speed skate setup & see the wheels will be set a bid wider. the butterfly cushion seemed like an interesting concept... I just spent $300 on ice hockey skates with carbon fiber/ heat moldable boot and $350 on in line roller skates with carbon fiber/ heat moldable boot. $350 for powerdyne platinum , $250-350 for boot & $150 for wheels/bearings. I am just weighing my options and doing research as these skates cost a bit more ....

I still don't understand the plate. How does it function? What are the limits? Does it rock over points? What about skating on toes and heels; can you feel a difference? This is another reason why I want quad skates to have a mounting system so I can easily test a bunch of pieces without having try to find details on a product.

Are you still following this vid you made & did you try taller wheels on them & what is the max height of wheel that can be used without touching the boot studs or the plate itself. I have the skate with the antik boot however i'm hesitant to buy taller wheels til i know i can fit them without issue

The plate itself seems rather tall, doesn’t it?

I always felt the pivot pin design was a bit vague and imprecise. This Arius design seems to bring a more automotive level of precision to the suspension. I think this could be used on much less expensive plates as well. It's doesn't look any harder to produce the Arius geometry that the the pivot pin design. I will be very curious to see how the Arius design withstands the test of time. Video production tip: lose the background music, it is distracting from the words of the speaker.

"Let's have a closer look at the plate" Proceeds without zooming in and shakes it around so the camera can't try to focus on it.
