The Police were at their touring peak during the 1980 Zenyatta Tour. Sting was still hungry and not completely egotistical. I saw them in 1980 at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. It was the best live show I've ever seen.

My first rock concert was The Police during this tour, mid-December 1980 in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Zenyatta was nº 1 USA at the time. Our local theater was only half full, however; they weren't as big here yet (I heard later that they were pissed off by this). I was fifteen. This was their best moment for sure. Only 3 people making all that music by themselves, no background singers/keyboardists. Killer show

9:30 „Deathwish“ is simply unbelievable, Stewart drumming his ass off. And Andy‘s riffs are gorgeous.

Jaysus! Some of those background vocals during their live shows were driving me up the wall even back then. You'd think they were completely tone-deaf. Thankfully Andy and Stewart were mostly focused on their respective instruments. ;O)

@renderizer01 - This was my very first Police live experience, and I was sooo shocked and also disappointed when watching/hearing this back then on TV because the backing vocals didn't sound anything like they had on their records! It was only then that I realised that it was actually Sting who'd also sung those! But I was eventually able to let that one pass, and it's a great show overall :-)
