Phoenicia generally refers to a small strip of land along the Mediterranean coast, in modern day Lebanon. The people that inhabited this ancient land made a significant mark on history. Though Unlike much of the ancient world the Phoenicians would not do it through conquest but rather through exploration, trade and the establishing of colonies across the Mediterranean.
