even before television, radio news was controlled and monitored and gave the american people misinformation to control the populous. the different's between current news vs old news is the massive diversity of society today. different news feeds provide different opinions to appease its viewers and their way of thinking so the population is easier to control. true news and actual information is never given 100% accuracy, at best you'll receive 40% of truth one fourth of the time. we do not live in the age of information, we live in an age of misinformation. nothing is true and anything is possible. today in order to get a "good" idea of whats really going on in the world and be better informed is to watch multiple different news feeds providing different information about different groups, societies, religions, races, political views, the list go's on. mind you a lot of people watched fox and laughed at that. but yet again i'v watch the daily show do the same thing to Trump supporters and I laughed. this is because the daily show appeases my personality and ways of thinking. however I do tell myself that not all Trump supporters are stupid as portrayed on this show. these people don't just want a new president, they want a new government and they believe Trump is the answer. it's a logical argument just not one i can get on board with.

Not by the local news but from chinese news, if any normal citizen can know that there is no reason the government of the greatest country didn't. Book Snake hmmmm... let's do some critical thinking... someone asks you a question in a language you both understand, so maybe the respectful thing to do would be to answer back in that same language. They then make it clear to you that they are in fact bilingual (while still speaking in that same language) so, you answer in the different language that you now know that both of you understand. As someone who was working in the US but was born and raised and is living in Europe this honestly is a big fucking shock to me. @@extravaganza1988 true true. i have 2 personal experiences related to meeting dutch people. one was rooming with 3 racist girls and two was meeting these two very kind adopted koreans. anywhere you go, its a mixed bag. and i know not all white dutch people are like that and not all asians abroad are kind either. but it is a universal experience of discrimination that is different for asians and other people of color.
