Until a little over a year ago I had never shared my home with a cat. We had dogs growing up. One day I was about to walk Jester my Great Dane/American Bulldog mix and there was a tiny kitten on the porch. Jester is 140lbs and stands 33” at his shoulder yet this little kitten walked fearlessly up to him. Jester looked confused but gave the kitten a lick of approval so instead of a walk we went for a car ride to the pet store. Once there a nice lady helped us find everything we needed to keep the kitten alive. Now she’s grown into a beautiful long haired tuxedo cat named Lilith and the two of them have become great friends. I never thought I’d have a cat but now I can’t imagine her not being here. She keeps Jester company while I’m at work, makes me laugh with her crazy antics and since she showed up I haven’t seen a mouse in the house. That was an unforeseen bonus.

If you haven't seen Anneka's Wolf-Cat episode, it is definitely worth a watch. I've had and loved many dogs but I'm mostly a cat person as I received cat-mojo from my mother's tomcat while in bassinet.

The femur of a cat, ( or any 4 legged animal ), is not in the front leg. So if you're describing the shortened front legs, you're talking about the radius and ulna bones.

I feel sorry for them, Independent creatures reduced to total dependence.

This is so cruel.....so horrible..... This goes 100% against the cats instincts. They LOVE jumping, climbing, lying in high places...imagine having all those natural instincts but not being able to do anything at all....and destroying all the gracefulness and elegance of the cat...i hate this...poor animals 😢

Somebody I know rescued one of these. Her game was Brambles and we nicknamed her the Rug Slug. She was super cute and friendly, and did indeed look like a very fast, very fuzzy slug when she walked.

im more of a canine person my self, mainly due to their size. i like hugging and cuddling them puppers :)

How ignorant! Are meercats, squirrels, and ferrets cruel too then? You can clearly see how happy and healthy these cats are! They do not have back problems like dachshunds.

Trust me they defend their selves just like any other cat..They stand up on their hind legs and would swipe their opponent out! Nothing they can't do, not disabled in any way, which the video clearly shows.

This is simply not true, I have short and normal leg cats and they all hold their own, they are just as feisty as a normal leg cat

They are just as agile, they jump and climb like any other cat, I have never had any back issues, cats are more lythe in the body than a dog, u can't compare the 2.. My experience has been very possitive, so unless I'm just very lucky, there's the proof...No domestic cat would survive well on the wild of course because they have bred to be domestic?

These cats always get me upset. They’re genetically artificial and no one knows how people’s preferences impact their health..

As long as us humans keeps setting the bar for life by doing a Cesar esk shaped thumbs up or down, I guess they are "absolutely lovable and so amaziiiiing", if that turns bad at any point...someone buying this cat when they have a good paying job but then gets fired. Imagine a normally built cat that gets thrown out,...then imagine THIS cats fate when it happens....

this lady who's been 'breeding this cat for 10 years' clearly doesn't know much about it, the femur is only in the back legs and definitely not the front legs, which have 2 bones called the radius and ulna... I don't agree with this at all, it seems like they are only being bred to look cute which shouldn't be a reason to breed an animal... 😠

Rug hugger? I thought they were called munchkin cats lol. Must be a North American name for them.
