Miniature horses are meant to be pets or service animals. They’re not for everyone. They need room to graze and roam and be a horse and have secure shelter from predators and the elements. As it stands, they’re the perfect companion for the right person.

From what i can tell they are superior to working line gsds in cold tolerance, size and health. Rare outside of russia and nearby countries. Eager to get one but finding info is hard aince it is not well known.

They also pull carts and can hold small children to ride as long as they are sound conformation wise. Friends have theirs live in the house but yes I agree with the fact that they need to be horses. We have had issues with some of the standard size horses bullying them so they need their own space in the pasture.

They're the about the size of a Great Dane and they're very adorable

Yes they can! That's actually partly what they're bred for! They can easily pull their own weight 😊I'm starting to raise them so I'm doing ALL the research!

They are gorgeous. I so want one but i would love to purchase a "pair" So that they will always have one another and that there is a possibility to keep their genes on-going, but not in a sense to breed them, instead to keep them around for generations. Since i am sure their humans will grow a deep connection with them, hence a baby to continue an on-going relationship after a passing of the parent(s). Ty so much for this, i never knew they breed miniatures (yet today everyone is tryna breed miniatures for todays hi demand for companions in a lifelong pet) in which i could only imagine the testing phases they had to go thru to successfully breed a perfect miniature! Either way, now i know where to go to if i plan someday to purchase one of these beauties.

Yay horses! But I have to disagree with you. Once you buy a little girl a mini pony it will not end there. Soon they will ask for a bigger pony and later for a normal horse (if not several of them.) Horses are a dangerous drug, highly addictive. I am 58 years old and totally hooked on them till my dying day🤣🤣🤣

Hi You should definitely do a video on Indian horse breeds and specifically in Punjab state of India. Those breeds are different, specifically different ears from other horse breeds.

A miniature horse should be built similarly to a full sized horse, while ponies have some different characteristics such as being more stocky, having shorter legs, thicker neck, and a wider barrel. Miniatures are also not a "breed" per se, there are two main registries in North America. AMHA (American Miniature Horse Association) and AMHR (American Miniature Horse Registry). AMHA allows any horse up to 34" tall, measured at the last hair of the mane, and AMHR allows up to 38" at the last hair of the mane. The most popular miniatures right now are the ones that resemble an Arabian. I'm just getting started breeding them after being involved with them for 8 years, and I'm focusing on the more "warmblood" type ones. Not as thick as a stock Quarter Horse type, but not as thin and refined as the Arab type. The ones I'm focusing on will have a slight dish to their head, but not near as extreme as the Arab type. They'll be in between in thickness of legs, barrel, neck, and other things. I hope this helps!!
