I remember being at a really dark place in my life when this song came out. I wasn't part of the tik tok trend as I too am incredibly easily distracted. But honestly this song when it was on soundcloud, the only app that my parental block bricked phone had, made me smile. It was catchy and it had a message at the end I could really feel, although a lot different than Tom's perspective, the lyrics were really important to me. Thanks Tom for all the content, it's been a wild ride

Because Tom has a highly refined sense of comedic delivery. Almost as though he truly realized the category error in real time - probably why I chuckled most.

In my personal opinion, the 2018 muffin song is the magnum opus of all of the Tomska songs. It just sounds so good, its one of those kinds of things that don't get old, even after hundreds of thousands of replays.

It's so interesting that a lot of people who create humor for others are depressed, speaking about it openly, especially on this kind of platform raises a lot of awareness for mental illness aswell so thank you both for your great work and raising mental health awareness

I loved the Muffin so much, and it was nice being able to relate to a character in one's darker times. I'm better now and still comes back for it ever so often.

Nice to see someone actually explain their depressive issues -- in this case suicidal ideation. Most people just say "I was feeling abit down" which to me either feels disingenuous or like their just labeling listlessness as depression. I personally have SI, and the thing people rarely get is the difference between it and intent. But ya, my brain just hates existance, but I'm also too spiteful to let it win -- that's the way I can best explain it.

Honestly tom, thats why im scared to sleep at night. The constant thoughts of suicides, i dont want them but i dont see myself in a good way. My cope though is playing games like mc and letting myself make things that others can appreciate.

Thank you for making this and telling this story. As someone who also suffers from depression and suicidal ideation, this gave me some hope for my future. I've always looked up to you and found you so hilarious, your videos brought light to my darkest times and I am so grateful for that. Not sure if any one will see this but neat little update, the muffin song I believe has gone platinum with over 130 million 'sales' (over 200 million streams). I just think that this is super neat and love seeing Tom grow such success since he has more then earned it through his over a decade of hard work.

I currently am moving past suicidal idealations myself. It's really tough, but it only improves over time.

I hope Tom never stops doing youtube because of stats telling him he's not as popular as he was years back. We like your stuff, Tom, so as long as you enjoy doing this, please do. That's all that matters imo

I literally just remembered this. When i first heard that song, I was in a deep depression as well. And this song was so helpful to me, because it allowed me to express my pain freely and actually feel something. Thank you so much for this. I’m really glad you didn’t stop doing your thing, your videos make me smile a lot!

ASDF movie has always been a show that I can truly see the creative process behind, and I respect that. Thanks Tom!

Grew up with this man throughout my childhood. I'm really glad he shared his story, it means a lot to hear Tom talk about his peaks and valleys of mental health. Gives me hope for myself and the people around me. Thanks Tom

Glad youre still here and hopefully stay as long as you still enjoy making the content you put out. Your stuff has gotten me through a lot of difficult times and I cannot thank you enough for it all. i bet this muffin, and comments like yours keeps him going :) also isnt it crazy how depressed people are often the creators of media that help US through tough times? I blasted this song when i was in a dark spot because "haha relatable" but man, the happiness in that song got me out of it

#respect I’m pretty sure I don’t have depression but I’m going through an identity crisis where I make myself a clown and make fun of myself to be appreciated to an extent but I accidentally made it my real self and forgot who I am and the funny thing is whenever I talk about this with friends I try to sound sincere but it’s impossible because of me not knowing HOW everything is a joke when I gained popularity and I accidentally made it stay that way

I really appreciate videos like this. Thank you for being so real, Tom.

Its really inspiring to see how something as difficult as mental health can be used to create something so amazing - ive been watching tomska for a VERY long time 😂 and i like the old and new content, thank you for being here still tom ❤️

I remember watching the asdf movies when I was young and going through heavy depression its comforting being older now and knowing everyone goes through hard times, I'm really glad tom is still around making videos❤

Honestly, i think is pretty amazing how recognisable you are. Almost everyone i meet either knows you, or has seen your work. Youll never lose relevence my dude.

Who knew the TomSka outro song from 2016-2017 was actually the unused Muffin Song (anyways please release the full versions of them they were bangers)

When I heard the bridge the fist time I felt it almost to tears.

I hope that you will continue to find the strenght to keep going, i've been here for a while and i can say that you are someone who is passionate about his job, please keep giving voices to those awesome characters, they helped more than one person. Thanks for doing what you do Tom. Amazing videos.
