My favorite what if duo has to be the potential KG to LA trade. Imagining Kobe & KG becoming a duo on the court is just scary. Their intensity probably would have drove their teammates crazy but I can imagine a world where they push each other to new heights and be a better combo than Kobe & Gasol ever were. Gasol was always a little soft and that KG never had any of those problems.

This twin towers duo could have been the best one ever. Better than duncan and Robinson and ad and boogie. They both had an inside outside game, and where both versatile on defense. Would have been hard to handle on both ends

Dude that would have been a bad ass duo if they would have stayed healthy, and lived their careers together

One interesting tidbit you should have brought up, according to Hakeem Olajuwon, the Trail Blazers wanted Ralph Sampson and in order to get him, they offered the Rockets Clyde Drexler and the number 2 pick in the 1984 draft. Had they taken the trade, the Rockets could have had a core of Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, and Michael Jordan. Combining the greatest Center of all time with the greatest player in basketball history. Had the trade gone down, NBA history is completely turned upside down. Fortunately for the Bulls, the Rockets turned down the trade offer.

Hakeem's numbers, especially from like '85-'95, are absolutely out of this world. Take a look at his career start sheet sometime--dude averaging like 26 pts, 13 rb, 5 ast, 3.5 blk, 2 stl and shit. The most underrated player ever IMO.

In my opinion, the original twin towers are the most talented and skilled big man duo in NBA History

This is my favorite duo thank you dom. I always thought Kristaps Porzingis and Ralph Sampson was a better comparison than Kristaps and Dirk. Ralph and Kristaps: -Around the same height and frame 7’3 and 7’4 -play mostly the power forward spot despite being the tallest on the court -very mobile very, can bring the ball up court and handle the ball -will posterize you -shot blockers and outstanding weak side defenders - both have solid mid ranges but Kristaps obviously can extend his range which is the only line i draw That’s way more than Dirk and Kristaps have in common tbh who agrees? If you don’t go watch some of Ralph’s games with Hakeem
