I havent played a single campaign in Europe without nocbing byz since I discovered the strat two years ago (half a year after getting the game) it is THE strat.

As someone who is related to a few of the Doges Of Venice (specifically Ludovico Manin, Paolo Renier, Sebastiano Venier, and Antonio Venier.) You have served our serene republic most well. Glory To Venice! (Also thanks for letting us have Florida, now we have a nice holiday destination!)

me too, coalitions and shit. If you get good allies and play defensively, camp your best strongholds, and attack the stacks they try to siege, and then get enough warscore to peace out white peace or give them a province or two from your ally xd but few of those wars were actually won enough to get more territory

I tried doing this in a campaign. Unfortunately, Spain got a PU on and then annexed the Commonwealth, and colonized most of the New World, and they didn't like to have a rival in the Mediterranean. After a war in 1580-1595 were I was able to gnaw away a white peace it was basically cold war until the late XVIII century, when I started conquering pieces of South Italy thanks to a scientifically selected web of alliances. Wasn't able to conquer all the peninsula tho, in 1821 I was missing Calabria and Sicily.

Lol I am playing Venice and because of the shitty battle mechanics I won a war with Byzantinum, annexed Morea, peace for like 2 months. Declared on Byz again cuz they invaded Epirus, lost cuz the game chose to somehow break the laws of Dice and roll a 0 for me and a 9 on Byz, and now it will take me around 8 years to fix my manpower shortage.
