their last album together was almost flawless i wish i discovered it sooner i heard it in full for the first time in the early 00's. a few songs from it were used in commercials but i don't remember any of them actually getting played on the radio. if it had been released a few years earlier on a major label it could've been a hit.

The Jones Girls had all the ingredients to make that perfect, wholesome, delicious cake, but it still fell flat, never able to be fully rising! I recall an interview I came across a long time ago where iconic producers, either Kenny Gamble or Leon Huff, to saying the group's problem was simply, "they just couldn't get along!" I have many favs by the JGs, but my standouts are ofc, their mega, "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else," "Who Can I Run To," "Life Goes On," "Nights Over Egypt," "Children of the Night," and "Dance Turned Into Romance." The JGs should definitely be honored for all their contributions to Black American music. Thanks for another powerful and dynamic episode!! I'd love for you to do episodes on SOLAR acts such as Carrie Lucas, Dynasty, naming several!

Love nights over Egypt. Diana Ross advised them not to sign with Motown. She also recorded one song with them called You Were The One.. and it’s FIRE. Very underrated group

I don't know I mean between the Jones girls and the Pointer Sisters and Sister Sledge and The Emotions I'm not sure who had the better career. They all have different styles of music. They have great music not sure if they qualify for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I mean for sure R&B Wall of Fame. I don't think they have many hits. Did any of their Albums go gold. I don't recall. One note on the deceased member Brenda Jones. I was living in Delaware at the time and I recall that being on the news. Such a sad day and today that intersection is still bad to cross.

IMO, the Pointer Sisters had the best success out of all the other sibling (Sisters only ) acts in terms of longevity, commercialism, and recognition. Followed by The Emotions,then Sister Sledge, and lastly, The Jones Girls. 🤎🫶🏽🤎 I don't think The Jones' have enough body of work for consideration into Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, but definitely, Induct them into R&B Hall of Fame..all these sibling groups had the tightest harmonies ever🤎
