I grew up on The Delfonics in which my parents had all of their wonderful music ♥️. The Delfonics were and still are and will forever be a part of the Philly sound. Tommy Bell was an incredible producer, composer and songwriter 🎶🎶. He had classical training to which he incorporated that knowledge in his production. He was a genius!🏆🏆. I had the honor of meeting him when I was in Philadelphia. He was a very intelligent and incredible man that got the job done. The world of music lost an amazing hit maker, may he and William ( Wilbert’s brother and member of The Delfonics), Randy Cain and Major Harris all continue to R.I.P. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. Wilbert is one other nicest and the surviving member of the group. His beautiful wife Sheila Hart are my friends ♥️♥️👑👸🏽🎶 which they are truly blessed with their beautiful family. I will continue to support The Delfonics and listen to their music 🎶🎶🎶♥️♥️♥️. I enjoyed the interview. Thank you so much., Keep up the great work!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I fondly recall I was 9 -10 years old in1970. My dad walked in with an 8 track and said " listen to these guys ". I have never forgotten their music . When I listen to them now I think how dramatic and exciting the stories their music tell . They are in a class of their own . Best wishes Mr. W. Hart God bless !

The word Wilbert is trying to say at 5:35 is "intricate." One of the characteristics of Thom Bell is that he would record 2 albums worth of material at the same time so that the first album would be full of hits and the second, would automatically go gold based on the sales of the first one! He was a true genius and one-of-a kind in his expertise and ability to mix strings with R&B.

If you listen closely at the end of *start all over again “ I believe that’s Tom Bell singing with William Hart two parts melody ( I think ) because I’ve been listening to that song with Headphones ever since it came out ( for years) also at the end of * tell me this is a dream “ right as the songs fadeing out you’ll hear what sounds like four guys singing. I’ve been listening closely to their music since 1973 with headphones so i know the voices.

@@willamhart2257 Poogie Hart you have always been my favorite Falsetto singer. However, there are past videos where even you say you admired Frankie Lymon, Little Anthony And The Imperials, and the white group that made Sherry Baby. Chronologically Smokey was before Eddie K.

@@KiddSkunkadelic my group performed with them all. The Godfathers of Falsetto is Smokey Robinson and Eddie Kendrick who was the best William Hart is the next generation. But truthfully put it Was William that birthed the entire generation of false tenor From The Moments to Blue Magic and all others in between.

@@willamhart2257 I am a part of that history my friend. Eddie Kendrick was before William buddy. The Temptations were before the Delfonics by quite a bit. The Temptations were the standard of excellence for every group my friend. The Delfonics have their place in musical history but after the Temptations. Smokey and Eddie were the Grandfather's of Tenor singers and Eddie being the best of the 2, William was the father. Then came the grandkids like Russell Thompkins and Ted Mills and the rest. I sang for over 30 years we unfortunately got caught up in the 70s when the competition was sp fill with groups many of us recorded and got lost in the plethora of talent. We performed with them all. Well respected too. I can think of 20 groups like us that recorded worked regularly but never saw stardom. So I not only know history i was a part of it.
