Wow!!! Just the other day at the Tempe Town Lake (here in Arizona), a bird swooped down at the water, grabbed a crappie and dropped it as it flew right in front of me and the fish almost hit me, as I was riding my electric bike. It was the biggest crappie I'd ever seen. It was twitching and I wanted to gut it and take it home, but I was busy, so I threw it it back in the water for the other fish to eat.👍👍👍💚

I was born and raised in Mesa, they were just building the Tempe town lakes when I moved to Chicago about 20 years ago. Hopefully it's a good fishery now.

If you ever get the chance to go crappie fishing I definitely recommend. They’re fighters and they love to bite.

I wish we had the urban pond's here in Alabama ,, those crappie were the most beautiful I've ever seen , as always another great video ,

The first crappie is the most beautiful fresh water fish I've ever seen. Love your videos and am inspired to do more fishing when our season opens up nort here in Northwestern Wisconsin. I live on the shore of Lake Superior so it's going to be a while before it warms up enough to get out and about to scout some of my favorite fishing ponds, lakes, rivers and streams.

That's a monster as well as being beautiful!

I have never caught a male crappie during this time of year and you make me want too. They look so cool all black like that! Great job buddy

Its actually both the males and females that ger dark like that! it has more to do with them being in the peak of spawn and if they are around structure, than anything else!

Never seen black crappie so dark. Those were cool. I wish you had taken measurements. My personal best black was just a little 13 incher. The biggest I've seen was a 21inch, caught by my ex boss's son. He caught it in a metro park lake. Keep up the great video's! 😁

Finally got to 70 here in ILL so I went fishing for a few hours. Had a great time bass were hitting like crazy and I caught my biggest fish ever it was a carp but still what fun I thought of you!! Just to see this awesome fish up close was amazing he was as long as my leg I didn't weigh him but it took all I had to lift him and yes he went back to grow even more!! As always watching in Ill

Most of the river thawed over the weekend and the lakes are thinning but I was about to avoid the skunk with a small creek chub and the biggest black strip minnow I’ve ever seen much less caught on a wax worm and hook. But while I wanted to catch fish from my target list it’s awesome to see the bait moving in and I can’t wait to what follows the bait.

@@TyPigPatrol I appreciate the reply and yea last year a big cat broke the top water with its tail as we watched a big chunk fall away from the spillway. But I also didn’t realize I had sent that post full of typos but most importantly I was going to say I hope I catch a crappie half the size of your average this year which would be around my PB didn’t mean to just ramble on about my minnow catching trip ;) tight lines my friends and fish on. PS. I need to go catch some rainbows where you went in Milwaukee last year I recognize the area I just don’t go there often and I’ve never brought a pole but I will be this year ;)
