In this video, I am fishing some shallow water, and sure enough, the MONSTER crappie have started to move into their spawning grounds! After a few solid fish, we get the strike from the MONSTER we've been searching for!

I don't get it. He quit his job to KZread full time but he denies himself millions of subs for some crazy personal belief. I wish he'd just weigh those monsters and claim all the glory. I've been a sub for years and it's just become hard to watch now. I've wondered if maybe it's because somehow it's not legit. Some sort of trick photography?

Much respect for letting her go. I harvest my share each year but when I catch sizes outside of the that 10 to 14 inch mark, I always let them go. Nothing annoys me more than a fisherman who keeps everything they catch no matter the size.

Here in Clearlake Ca. I've caught everything from almost completly black with a few scattered grey scales to solid iridescent green with metallic electric blue markings around the head, rust brown ones, speckled black and white, striped black and white, light silver, silver and gold spots and other weird combinations. The bluegill are even more variable. I've caught a black bluegill here when I first tried fishing here. And bright black and white ones too. This lake is weird.

Beautiful fish brother ! I Read a story years ago from a Missouri Game warden , he was checking fishing licenses on a dock , when a lady walked by him with an huge freak crappie on a stringer , he begged her to weigh it for a potential world record , she told him that she was taking it home to cook it , and feed her husband , and wasn't interested in any records of any kind , she at last allowed him to measure the fish only , so she could be on her way , the giant crappie was just a tad over 25 inches long !

Just to give another fisherman some different advice , if you're going to be wading through weeds to get to your destination, make sure you spray yourself with tick spray. I didn't think I needed to. Back in 2004 , I was out , and I had pulled 7 ticks off me . I woke the next morning and I had a stroke . It paralyzed my left side. Fortunately I regained my mobility in 9 months , cause I went to the hospital fast enough. And I was already taking an aspirin daily. I love to fish , but the fear is real. That being said....I love watching fishing videos !!! Thank you !!!

That was a great day..I would agree that any big fish no matter what species is a thrill..I was super excited about catching a 12 Inch creek chub last year. Lmao 🤣 or a 3lb white bass. The state record is 5lbs. So to me that equivalent to a 12 13lb largemouth. 😆
