    This is such a underrated film. You can tell this is no Triple A movie title, but for what they bad, they made one my favorite movies of all time. The actors made the story so good, Kierra Knightly brings in that romance, and the way she talks and looks at people shows a deeper side to her character. This King Arthur and Lancelot are my favorite out of all movies for me, hands down. And this was the first movie that made me a huge Madz Mikkelson fan. And not to mention the music, Hanz Zimmerman makes some of the most epic music and he made this movie really stand out as well. They might not have had Triple A movie budget, but they did have a Triple A Cast, Directors, and Composers. I could watch this movie every day. Thanks for posting this!

    I enjoyed this movie immensely. Historically accurate? Nobody knows. But Owens is a fine actor and his depiction of an intelligent and muscular Arthur is a great addition to the Arthurian portrayals.

    THE MOVIE WAS OUT IN 2004 AND 10 YEARS LATER STILL MAKES ME WANNA WATCH IT AGAIN. THE ONLY BAD THING IN THE MOVIE WAS THE MANY MONOLOGUES OF KING ARTHUR AND THE 'SMALL NUMBER' OF SARMATIAN KNIGHTS AROUND THE MAIN CHARACTER. THEY COULD HAVE HIRED 10 MAIN AND 20 MORE KNIGHTS. EVEN IN CORNWELLS BOOKS THE HORSEMEN OF KING ARTHUR WERE LIKE 50+. FURTHERMORE THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD ROMANO BRITISH PEOPLE LIKE MARIUS SERVANTS TO FIGHT ALONGSIDE WITH HIM INSTEAD OF PICTS. STILL IT IS A GREAT MOVIE ALTHOUGHT THERE ARE SO MANY INACCURACIES.

    I love the movie and loved this clip... but I don't know what Keira means by saying it's "a historical fact that women fought on the same footing as men." I love women and female assertiveness and learning martial arts and even MMA if that's what they want, but I see no evidence of that being a fact. Is she saying Saxon invaders brought their women with them? Is she saying Roman legions had women with them? Not sure of whom she is speaking and what army or nation back then had a force of women fighting either side by side with men or intermingled. I don't think there was one, except where things were desperate and your home was being overrun.

    There is some limited evidence of Germanic and Celtic women getting involved in combat in the ancient and Medieval world, but I guarantee you they weren't dressed in leather bikinis ;) Well, unless they had a death wish.

  • @medievalgirl002

    @medievalgirl002

    @James Anderson Nope, but there's no proof they wore leather bikinis ;) In fact, that kind of 'armour' would have been ridicolous because it leaves the most vulnerable parts of your body unprotected. Besides of which, there is almost nothing about this movie that is 'historical fact'. They can't get the names of the ancient Britons right. They were called Britons or Picts North of the Wall. The filmmakers also failed understand what 'pagan' means, and thinks its just another name for an atheist or something.

    @@dianastevenson131 Julius Caesar was a master propagandist who viewed all non-Romans as 'savages' and described their practices in such a manner that the citizenry and posterity would agree, nevermind the fact that the Romans themselves also engaged in child and animal sacrifices, as did pretty much everybody in the Pagan world for all kinds of reasons!

    The irony of this movie? The only actor who has any credible claim to be descended from the ancient Britons is probably Ioan Gruffudd by virtue of being a Welshman. And what do they do? Cast him as a Sarmatian without a drop of British blood. ...and why is Stonehenge in the North of England near Hadrian's wall? What on earth is Cerdic, the legendary ancestor of the King of Wessex (also South) doing there? So many geographical and historical errors in this. You can tell it was made by Americans.
