It really doesn't. Doesnt fit Boromirs death at all and is very misplaced. And it is especially not fitting when you know what the Elvish choir are singing as boromir has his last stand in the original music. " During Boromir's death scene in the Fellowship of the Ring film, you a hear a choir in the soundtrack. The choir isn't singing random vowel sounds; they're actually singing in Elvish. The English translation of the lyrics? It's a line from the books: "I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only what they defend." For bonus hurt points- in the book, those lines were said bv his little brother Faramir." The original is perfectly fitting theme for Boromirs death while this is an Avatar ost and very surface level

Why does this fit so well?

It fits well, because it’s aimed at loss in War. Loss in combat. A warriors death.

When the third arrow hits him and he drops to his knees.. 1:18, this soundtrack fit the scene so well

No it wasn't. Him coming to protect the "little ones" despite feeling immense shame for betraying Frodo is enough of for his character arc. But I am not saying that his death was a waste. It's one of the most painful and heartbreaking death scenes out there

Also matches with Xena the warrior princess SPOILERS in season 4, when Calysto breaks her spine in the episode Ides Of March.
