Unless you consider using his cane as a flash light. Gandalf used more magic power before he even realized he was a wizard during season 1 of The Rings of Power then he used during the whole Lord of The Rings trilogy.

I made it through 6 episodes of S1 and it felt like they were trying to make it bad on purpose. Who here was rooting for the “Harfoots” to get nuked?

I started watching this series excited and with an open mind, but after a few episodes I had to be part of the big crowd talking bad. It simply lacks the grandeur with which Tolkien described elves and gods, this made men seem small and powerless, which greatly magnified their actions.

Remember with the season one trailer premier where the started deleting comments and adjusting dislike counts? Hey - let’s do it again.

My favorite part is when Legolas time travels and tells Sauron, "Let Tolkien's people go."

Gave me chills when Sauron said “I’m gonna wig-wig-wiggle my way inside your mind”

Don't worry, peoples... Peter Jackson is coming back!

Ugh! Rings of Prime DOA based on the first season's bad foundation, and more than half of folks not finishing that season - flash will not work to fix the bad dialogue characterization and so many plot holes

It's completely soulless and doesn't feel like Tolkien at all. Such a disappointment.

Don't feel bad actors and individuals on set that actually care . . . It's okay to admit when something is terrible and awful . . . Even if you're a part of it.

The first scene... "Prepare yourself" and then everybody awkwardly pulls a weapon, including Galardrriellll who will break her elbow on first contact. They learned nothing from the disaster that was season 1.

My favorite part about this humiliation ritual is that when we talk about it, we get slandered and defamed for bringing up good points!

They have given Halbrand/Sauron elf ears now in the series. I wonder if this is part of a transformation or whether their promise to stick to the lore of Middle Earth much closer has resulted in this.

One could hardly expect it to be worse than the first season... But it seem like you'll be able to pull it off... I'm actually slightly impressed in a Swedish kind of way that you actually managed to make it look even worse despite all the feedback telling you how to make it better. Guess you simply did the opposite of what all the knowledgeable people told you yet again just like you did with the first season... Why bother fixing the mistake when you can double down on it instead?

Not only is there a season 2, but now you have to watch commercials, too. It's like Amazon hates their customers.

I guess Prime isn’t making the same mistake as last time, airing the show at the same time as House Of The Dragon, which totally eclipsed ROP in popularity. Also, ROP was just terrible, and plagued with issues, bad writing, bad acting, poor choices in cast selection etc.

Dang. The first I even heard of this was when I saw a KZreadr trash it, so I thought this maybe came out years ago. But no, it took me several minutes of reading all the comments to realize this trailer came out so recently. Oh, also I'm very pleased by the fact that I watched only the first minute of the first season, knew it was going to be something I didn't like, and left the room immediately. I can breathe happily knowing I didn't waste my time.

The directing,the ignoring of the lore, the writting the acting....season 1 was soooo bad lm in utter shock they made a season 2. Only people that will watch it are those watching to laugh at how bad it is. Seems on 1 is a 0 out of 10 off me. I'm shocked they made season 2. My guess the people signing off on it have never watched season 1.
