    I love the car! You seriously need to wear eye protection when cutting under something like that. I got a piece of metal in my eye that way. The eye doctor was only able to pick tiny pieces out in two visits, and then what remained started rusting. It then required surgery, which was a doctor using a dental grinder on my cornea to get all the tiny rusting pieces out. It was not fun, and could have been easily avoided.

    You need to pick a direction for this. It was supposed to be a rally car, but you built it like a muddin jeep and set the suspension to handle like a track car with ATV tires. All those things dont work together. The ATV tires need super soft suspension to the point where you can push the car down with one leg.

    Since the rear is locked, when you put them on maybe try to line the tread up so it's even, you won't get a violent shake when they spin. (Less chance of an axle saying bye) Like a sand paddle, they need to be lined up together. I marked mine so it was easy to match them up each time.

    WOW😮 (Put your reading glasses on)😮👏🏼 My friend, you are quite the budding filmmaker! Those flowing shots with the mellow background melodies are really, dare I say, artsy! 👏🏼Congrats on taking your average, "Hey, I installed part X onto car Y...now watch me drive it!" and turning it into something greater than the sum of its parts. I knew I was watching something special when you did the whole "pressing on a regular ol' car key like it had buttons to unlock the car and disable the alarm system" thing😎👍🏻Wow. If you need a manager, I'm your guy😎 because back when Miatas were still just "girl cars," I had a GReddy turbocharged, white, '91 MX-5...I will never forget the day when I first took it to the RaceLegal drag racing, 1/8th mile program we have here in San Diego in the parking lot of a stadium (The "Q"), I was in the right side staging lane, and my first go was against one of those pointy-nosed Camaro SS's of the time, and the crowd gathered behind the return lane were just laughing and pointing...then, the first staging light came on, then the second, and I pushed the button to activate the first stage of.the MSD 2-stage rev limiters, and loudly my car bounced off the limiter set to the perfect launch RPMs for the day's conditions, turbo spooling up to 14 psi, my right foot was to the floor, the last yellow light came on and I dumped the clutch and I was off, two car lengths ahead right off the bat, and when I felt the tires had full traction by the seat of my pants (Old school launch control😉👍🏻), my finger came off the buttun and then a few moments later, into second gear with that rifle-bolt, snick-snick precision, and over the line as I was about to hit the redline limiter, and I beat that V-8 "muscle car" by 4 car lengths...and the ride back down the return lane was heavenly. I took my helmet off and waved, with a sarcastic grin on my face, at all the faces that transitioned from laughter to open-mouthed awe, and a few claps were heard alongside the "What is that?" chorus ...hopefully you're not "TLDR" and still with me! And I just gotta say I love how NA Miatas have passed through the whole turbocharged, drag racer/drifter phase, and onto becoming the lifted, mud tire-shod offroad fun-mobiles that they've become.

Too bad you don't really seem to have much snow on the ground where you are, those tires could be fun in a lesser used road with lot of loose snow or in a parking lot. Here we have so much snow it's crazy, makes me want to have a car that can offroad haha. The snow in my front yard is taller than I am and the city is super behind with plowing and snow removal.

  • @JJ_ExMachina

    @JJ_ExMachina

    I run the Maxxis Maxzilla's on my Polaris RZR, I can tell you with out AWD or 4 Wheel Drive, running such an aggressive tire on the front will actually hurt steering. When I run my RZR in 2 wheel drive I have very little steering control, at speed... The aggressive tread causes the wheels to hop/skip along the surface, making it difficult to get grip. Running in 4 wheel drive the RZR has all the grip and control you would ever want or need... Main reason Sand rail dune buggies use Apex Steering Lip tires, they allow you to actually steer by cutting a grove in to the surface and grip when lateral force is applied to the tires when turning. So Reverend D is correct in saying to use sand rail front tires and you are better off running sand rail front tires on a rear wheel drive vehicle, like the Miata.

  • @jasonpetrich4141

    @jasonpetrich4141

    The only thing I agree with is the tire lugs grabbing the trail edges and pulling you all over that does happen alot as for the rest!!!! you run a sandrail rim and tire up front at speed in anything deeper than 10 inches and those rims/skinnys become a big shovel and build up mudd and crap in front of the rig and will bend those soft aluminum rims I have seen it first hand. With a rail that try' s to mudd Bogg with my jeep club. He needs some thing like a baby super swamper or cooper discover say nitto grappler up front.

    I run those on the front and the same but wider on the rear on my rear wheel drive road legal 2wd offroad Joyner 650 buggy, they are brilliant you would benefit with the same up front to assist steering as if you watch some of your uploads while in mud and slime the front push's before it starts to turn. Hey we go out in an open buggy in those temp's, just dress warm instead of designer clothes you will be fine, check out the Joyner I think you would have some real fun with one, I also think your daily should be Nissan Juke NISMO AWD, I just got a 2018 one what an awesome winter hack. I enjoy your channel keep them coming, where's the truck

    Slowly turning the rally Miata into a side by side. Just come move to TN. Lots of off road fun, tons of twisty mountain roads perfect for a Miata. Close enough to rust free cars down south.
