Will the mini jeep make it to Moab? Ep2: The journey begins
Remember to watch in 4k even on a 1080p screen to stop KZread destroying the quality of the GoPro footage.
Hi Guys and apparently 2.3% girls according to KZread, sorry about the reupload confusing everyone, I had to make a change to it.
I hope you enjoyed the video, I had a lot of fun in the edit messing around (sorry about the singing).
As I mentioned in the outro, these videos can only happen at faster than glacier speed with your support. So if you'd like to see more videos and have them delivered faster, you can:

Or I have an Amazon wishlist for editing equipment if you're ridiculously wealthy and want to have less money. www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls...
Or if you're skint, liking this video and making sure you're subscribed does A LOT too.
Oh and to answer a very frequent question: if you'd like to get a mini jeep for yourself, the one I'm driving is a genuine patented Coolster gk-6125a coolster.com/vehicles/gk-6125a/ Any others are copies and often don't even have suspension, or are rear engined so they don't turn corners 😬
Right, I've got to go do something with the mini jeep now, it's a secret, but you'll love seeing it. It's beyond stupid.
Cheers
Ed

if you're still wondering: the fuel line popped off because your gas canister doesn't have a pressure release valve. you filled it up late evening, when the air was cool. and on the morning when the air started to get warm, the pressure in the canister rose with the temperature. it propably got some sun as well on it, which just doubles the pressure because the fule and gasses were heating up. and pop went the hose.

I live in a small town in VT, my in-laws come over from Scotland and are treated like royalty! They love going to my “local” which is a stellar hole in the wall!
With as much bouncing around as you were experiencing, and as dry as it was in the desert, I REALLY hope you unstrapped your fuel tanks and placed them on the concrete while you filled them! I learned this the hard way when overlanding in an ATV/side-by-side. We had main and aux tanks strapped down to floor of the cargo area or wherever we could along the chassis and role cage (much like you) and between the hot dry weather, the constant shaking/bouncing around and the vinyl materials that were used to make the fuel container, the injection molded plastic body panels of the ATV, along with all the synthetic nylon/rayon of the backpacks, tents, riding clothes, etc, we were essentially a giant static electricity generator! And we had built up QUITE a lot of static charge along our journey! We started filling up the tanks, and when my riding mate when to put the fuel nozzle into the 3rd (and largest) empty fuel jug, a huge amount of static electricity jumped from the neck of the gas can to the metal fuel pump nozzle, and the giant, hot, cloud of fuel vapor that has formed inside the empty 5 gal gas can ignited! It blew the entire gas can to SHREDS, and it ignited the fuel that was dripping out the end of the nozzle and had flew everywhere and landed on the ATV, all over our backpacks, my buddies riding clothes there he was wearing, etc! He was engulfed in flames! Luckily he was wearing his riding clothes, which offered a small amount of protection from the open flames, and his helmet protected his head! And a local 4x4 guy had a big extinguisher inside his truck and he had it wide open and turned onto my buddy in seconds! And when he was satisfied that my buddy was out he he turned it on our ATV, so we suffered minimal damage thank God! Lesson learned! Always fill your fuel cans on the ground, not while inside a vehicle or sitting in a bed of a truck!

Ed is a cliffhanger himself, it's natural. :b
The saga of him coming to the realization that he can just turn the water bottle upside down so it doesn't leak out of the pinhole was truly a tale for the ages
I drove little john deere jeeps when worked at a golf course. Super fun I'd like to race those things.
You really need to buy solar panels 👍🏼💎
My friend bought one of those for his grandkids for his backyard. Who would've thought an eccentric UK dude would try to pull off this trip. LOVE it and wish you best of luck on your journey and health. Cheers, Howard
The fact u were able to plate it is amazing.
That was a very cool and entertaining video!! A true adventure. I can imagine that something like that would be a blast with a friend or two!!
I'm thoroughly impressed by the mini jeep and was on the fence about buying one until i saw this. It's a mostly flat, 17 miles from the tractor supply store to my house and I'm thinking that it will be a trial by fire for it's maiden voyage. I will definitely bring a memory foam cushion and a real gas can for the trek.
I love that everyone in your video seems so friendly. They’re doing my state proud! Hope you’re having fun!!!

Ppl are predominantly friendly everywhere you go in the US, mainstream media likes to paint red states as nothing but butt holes but nothing could be further from the truth. It likes to paint a picture where the world only sees that everyone in America are racist assholes, all southerners are inbred, Midwesterners are all basically stupid, or in short, if you don't live in California then its obvious that there's something wrong with you cause if there wasn't, you'd live in California at the apex of enlightenment where everyone gets a poney and cellphones come pre loaded with shit apps so you don't step in shit walking down the sidewalk. True story, those exist, but only in California where all the enlightened ppl are now that petty theft and taking a shit on the sidewalk right next to you while trying to eat your lunch has been decriminalized 😕. Buuuut, in reality, most everyone in the states are really nice to everyone and are good ppl. Not all ppl, but most of them are for sure.

Not only is everyone in the video friendly, but the guy in the mini jeep is super positive and is consistently in high spirits! It makes a great video and really entertaining to watch.
Ed, just wanted to say that I'm laughing out loud alone in my office more than a few times watching your brilliant episodes. Watching you be free as a bird feeds my soul in this life of responsibilities I have. Thank you!
Great independent film making. Donation left and looking forward to watching the rest of this series.
I'm late to the channel but am really enjoying the adventure. I drove this route back in 2012 only in an old pick up truck. That 'corrugated' section between Lucin and Wendover is a no joke. Did some damage to my suspension. After the smoothness of the rail bed roads leading up to Lucin, it was a real let down to drive that last 40 miles bouncing like that.
Ed March! We were worried about you, hadn’t heard anything in a while. Then you randomly show up on a couple of episodes of Itchy Boots and make me jump out of my seat! Now, driving across Utah in a mini Jeep! Glad to see things are going well for you! Can’t wait to see this series

Caught him on itchy boots too. I feel a connection as met her in Diani when she was in Kenya. I knew there was a KZread youniverse when they met.

It was @ 4:23 I knew I needed to subscribe! Love the improvising.
This is quite possibly the best thing I have ever seen.
So one “Idiot in pain” sets a premier. They say misery likes company so you keeping us waiting keeps us in pain too. Well played Mr March, well played. Often solo, never alone!
Everyone in Utah seems so nice and wholesome

Thoroughly enjoyed the video, amazing how far you traveled without any serious problems, bit worrying with the fuel situation......😅
