Those tires can easily take a scuff... they are designed to handle extreme conditions, they are rated for 1200 lbs, while off roading though extreme conditions... I have them on my Polaris RZR... you are not going to hurt them from a little scuff from the trunk lid. The tires are about 3 or 4 inches thick on the side walls, and thicker on the center tread section. No worries, they will be just fine, sitting where they are.

If what you are saying was true, then any surface of any vehicle exposed to rain or moister would rust. What causes rust is bare metal and exposure to the elements. Besides a little spray in bed liner will stop all of the issues with any rusting in the trunk, if anything was bare metal... AND like I said, there are large drain holes in the trunk. That will stop water from collecting in large quantities... SO unless you drove the thing in to a lake, some off roading and muding is NOT going to be an issue...

I actually really like it. It's a pretty extreme mod, but somehow it actually looks quite good. Just a couple things: You need to cut some big drainage holes into the trunk floor, seeing as it's a huge rainwater collector now. I'd also mount a chain into the trunk, so you can chain the tires to the car for safety from theft and also from the ratchet straps not holding the tires properly. You could also try filling the pipes with sand (really fine is probably best) and capping them off (maybe just weld a plate to the ends) before you bend them. That way, the sidewall has some reinforcement from the inside. You could also probably weld a Hossfeld clone yourself without much effort, to get a bender that's more accurate and probably works loads better than your current one.

Till you can bend the pipes the stock bumper is best. I have a concern and a suggestion. My concern is the ratchet strap mounts on the bumper bar, will you be adding structural supporters behind them? I hope you think this is cool and doable but as soon as you cut the trunk up i thought id be cool and useful id you would weld a "box" or walls on either side of the tires for structural support and so you can have storage still on either side and to "weather proof" the trunk so you dont have to clean out mud and stuff after off roading. Love the videos keep up the good work and hope the finger is ok

Fixing the rust, use a phosphoric acid rust killer to neutralize it. Yes you can keep painting it but that doesn't stop rocks and whatever chipping your paint off letting moisture in. Cozmyc Reaper those aren’t meant to be in the car while he’s off-roading. They are meant to be swapped on upon arrival. But Caleb doesn’t do this as a profession, so he doesn’t have “support truck” to tote around his spares, so that is a solution, and it looks much nicer than the trunk mounts

Gingium. I love the content and your channel! But I have to say that you do so many little things that keep you from being as successful as TJ Hunt, Adam LZ, Etc. You really shouldn't let yourself speak negatively of companies on camera. It will discourage sponsors and shows a huge lack of professionalism. Also, fill the pipe with sand and it will work fine. It might be a hassle but that's the cost of cheap tools. Anyways, keep up the great work and the new tire mount is awesome!!!
