Fun fact, you can /ac auto-translate, so you can do somewhere along the lines of "/ac lim[tab]" to get it (Not sure exactly how many letters you need to get "Limit Break" as the auto-complete option)

The fact the DRG didn’t say fuck it and use the limit break obviously parse minded or really awful brain delay.

I have bad habit of right clicking without meaning too while i have my hand on my mouse, so sometimes i'll rightclick and instantly click remove when trying to activate something.

If you're gonna put it on your hotbars you might as well keybind it. Mine is cntrl z so I don't accidentally use it. But still ez to hit.

there's also plogon that auto-locks your hotbars in combat in case you forget.

In dating, its very common to find a reason to invite someone to something. Not specifically for the activity, but to have opportunities to get closer to this person. That said. You don't need to invite cousin alex over to lock your hotbar. It's just an excuse to have him in your house and when he is finished pressing this little lock icon, he might as well cook and clean up the house and stay over night.

If you're doing hard prog like week 1, it's not too surprising honestly. There's a certain amount of actually expecting people to do their job going on, it's pretty common to realize an LB is a bit late, but you still assume the person will get it off on time (until they don't, and you can't do it for them). Especially if it's a hard dps check, you don't want your higher melee stopping their dps because they got scared (and then losing out on some dps of the guy who's supposed to be LBing, as they're wondering "why didn't my LB go off" and not hitting other damage buttons), because most likely the other guy's still gonna do it. It's like when a group wipes and someone goes "well X should've adjusted and we'd be fine" when that adjust was never talked about in the first place, strats exist for a reason and if someone randomly audibles on their own, it can cause issues.

​@@tciddadosyeah, no. If you ever raid, you'll understand there's this thing called enrage. After enrage there's no more button pressing, no point for waiting if that's already the last moment. Unless you're bad players it's irrational to not lb when you literally has the timer shown right at you.

@@docf8202 Amazing how condescending you randomly decided to be, but thanks. You're apparently unable to get my point. Calling out the DRG as a clown is just disregarding that this wasn't some random PF they were in, if you're in a static there's a certain amount of trust that you put into the other members. I've absolutely had TOP P1 wipes where the NIN didn't LB (back when dps mattered), but I didn't call the RPR a clown for not interrupting his DPS to take over it. It's typically better to trust your members and have very occasional slip-ups like this, rather than stuff like a .1% wipe because you got bad crits and your high DPS melee decided to panic LB right before the NIN was about to, lowering the dps you were supposed to be doing.

Was there a reason for the monk not just to ask the dragoon to do it the moment his lb3 button was removed? instead of cursing, why didn't he say something like "dragoon, LB3, don't ask just do it now" or some shit?.

I'm wondering why the drg didn't just do it regardless, how does the dude have time to go find lb in his actions menu and activate it from there before drg even thinks to himself that he should probably just press it

could've just you know...locked his hotbars like a normal person, or have the DRG lb instead. But if he has to mouse his lb instead of assigning it to a hotkey of some kind then probably he didn't deserve to clear that one anyway

People spam "Lock Hotbar" without noticing, that player successfully clicked ability several times, but bad system designs goes "Nope. Saw nothing. No limit break. Try again." Can we ask for the game to respect our commands instead of piling up on bad player habits while making macros repeating same line 12-14 times?

I remember when this happened. The reason why it didn't register yet is because they used Tornado Kick which like everything has a delay until the next action can register. Lock Hotbar, or use a hotkey instead of clicking it.

Classic clicker + unlocked hotbar moment.

User error, not the fault of the control method. I'm ex pad player turned KBM with an MMO mouse and whilst both styles are perfectly fine, I'm never switching back after making the change, it eliminated every issue I had with pad play. All he had to do was hotkey his LB to something like ALT+= to ensure it's never touched without fully intending to do so, or lock his bars, which you'd expect any present minded "raider" to know about.

@@ReinhartSchneider People have different playstyles. I have a friend that does his entire rotation except for 123 with clicks. It's actually insane to watch him stream and do like mch burst while clicking every heatblast and ricochet lmao. They're a talented player too, parses high and has done TOP.

This has nothing to do with a cousin. He simply removed the LB from his bars because he didn't lock them. You don't need clippy or any cousin for that. Just press the little lock icon right of the bars and it's done.
