Bob Newhart was a rare bird. Always a calm and quiet delivery, and always a good story to tell
Bob Newhart is absolutely brilliant and criminally underrated.

Kevin Lake I actually don’t think he is underrated. It’s just well past his time because he hasn’t been on TV much in many years, but I believe that he has gotten plenty of recognition over the years along with two very successful and memorable sitcoms.
Personally, I think Bob’s awkward, deadpan delivery is uniquely brilliant. I can’t think of any other comedian who can put that off so flawlessly & hilariously. His instinct to know exactly how far to push it is endearing. It seems easy but it isn’t.

Very subtle but very funny at the same time.
All these guys were so funny without being vulgar.

Would have been funnier being vulgar though at times. You know, how most people are? The way shows were back in the day were so fake.
This makes me nostalgic, and I wasn't even born when this filmed
all class . all of them .
-The man just won't go for new towels.. You have to tip your hat!
Great comic from a great era for comedy
Entertainers today couldn't even hold a birthday candle to the ones of old.

Don't live in the past
So sad watching these and seeing with the exception of Petula Clark and Rich Little, and one or two others, Bob is the only one still alive in most of these. I grew up watching these folks, makes me feel old.
Genius is an overused word. But, not here.

I just wrote "Genius." on the last video of Bob Newhart. You're so right. The man is just brilliant. So glad I grew up with The Bob Newhart Show (amongst other greats of the time). They don't make sitcoms like they used to (actually, they do, but rarely).

F*ck! I wanted to say that!!!
In the Don Rickles roast, the only one still with us today is Bob.
I was a kid during these guys time so the only time I watched them was when my grandma and grandpa had them on. Man they don’t make them like this anymore. I love Newharts sense of humor, dry sarcastic. I haven’t watched late night tv since Leno. Today it’s all ‘Trump is evil, trump is the devil.” If I recall correctly, and maybe somebody older could correct me if I’m wrong, Carson made fun of both sides.
He was soooooooo good. I must have watched everything he ever did. Now I have to Google, 'What happened to Bob Newhart?'
All the great old comics are gone now!

Love The Laugh-In T.V. show pitch.
It feels weird seeing Bob without Larry Daryl and his other brother Daryl

Underrated

Back when Hollywood had a sense of humour!
Three gloves...
Master operator....
At the Johnny Carson roast, Joey Bishop looks like either he just doesn't get the jokes, or someone hit him over the head with a folding chair.
1:30 That is a brilliant joke
@1:43 Does Joey Bishop even know where he is!?
"What's that? The show will have Goldie Hawn and Judy Carne wearing skimpy bikinis and body paints? ...We'll put it in prime time!"
What is preparation H?
Deano always seemed to be pickled!
Don Rickles' humor was so dirty and Bob Newhart's was so clean amazing how they were such good friends over the years.

Bob Newhart makes today's comedians look cheap, silly and lacking in imagination. No need to be vulgar to be funny
Bore Newheart, to me was never funny, or entertaining.
