The scene of Korra removing the last of the metal poison from her body is so beautiful, as someone who has struggled with PTSD it was incredibly cathartic to hear when Toph said “That fight is over now.” It’s something that I have said to myself to help move forward in my life.

Ikki is the "weird middle child". She isn't the eldest, who hits all the points of progress before her, and is often leaned on as a tertiary parent. She's not the youngest, who gets away with more shenanigans because they're "the baby". Middle kids tend to be neglected compared to the eldest and youngest, which gives them the freedom to be who they want, but also has them starved for guidance and direction. Tenzin's sister Kya was much the same in that regard. Ikki is a caring person that is also sensitive/vulnerable. She doesn't get much character development, which is a shame. At this point, Korra is physically recovered, but her head isn't quite in the game yet. She'll need help from another, unexpected, mentor for that.
