As an illustrator I can tell you 100% the reason there is underwear everywhere is because whoever drew this didn't know what else to put in there to fill up the space/time. Also we tend to use objects we are used to drawing and can draw faster, so this plus all the unnecessary bondage reference I can tell you they probably hired someone who does NSFW art on Tumblr 😅
