Honestly the whole "thousands of genders" joke pisses me off so much. I feel like that whole concept was such an early and fleeting part of modern gender discourse, nowadays people seem to happily define themselves as male, female, or generically non-binary without a need for a specific categorisation. I've never met a singular person identifying as anything other than these three. So not only is the joke outdated because it's transphobic, it's outdated in general. To clarify, I am cis and straight, so any LGBT people can feel free to reply with their own insights and share their own definitions and experiences, you're more qualified to speak on this than I am lmao. Here's a way to disprove the whole flat earth conspiracy theory claims that involve the use of CGI. Any sort of pre-2000s space footage couldn't have been faked because look no further than the Donkey Kong 3D TV show. Look at it in all its dated glory. THAT WAS CONSIDERED CUTTING EDGE BACK THEN. Computers only recently became capable of creating CGI that rivals real life in photorealism.
