    Sandy Reale Sandy Reale 0 seconds ago hey man maybe you can try my idea....Take an old favorite stacked layout that called for weighthole. since we cant have weighthole...calculate amount of weight that would have been removed from balance hole.. then from where weighthole wouldve been, instead go to exact neg placement of that hole and drill here instead and add precise amount of lead to that hole creating the original specs of balance hole and nplug it up. Now you still are legal but will ball react the same as balanced hole ball? youve just added it to other side.

Let’s just say usual tournament the leaders avg is 220-230s this tournament the leader was 204. I finished qualifying with a 196. Lost my first matchup in 5 and that was my tournament. He’s not kidding some of the best amateur bowlers out there we’re having bad games in the 140s.

    Why not just throw straight at the pins? For some reason I've never quite saw the benefit of a hook. More negatives than positives. Since it is fairly easy to get strikes straight at it offset head pin, there must be a pocket geometry that is consistent. I mean the hook looks cool and sells more balls, and maybe more fun, but really question it as a necessity. Imagine how easy the lanes would be!

  • @angelaleaga718

    @angelaleaga718

    No Dave I used to bowl straight and never get better. My avg jump 20 to 30 pins with a hook. It gives a much better angle to the pocket. No one gets better throwing straight all the time.

  • @davepalmer9265

    @davepalmer9265

    Жыл бұрын

    @@angelaleaga718 sounds like you probably practiced more when you bought a new ball and practice the hook. I never peaked out. To say you don't improve bowling straight, is flat out wrong. I started with 110 average bowled for a summer 3-4 times a week. Had 165 average and broke into the 200s on my best games. I improved greatly in just a couple months. I dont doubt that I could average 200+ bowling straight at the head. (Offset 25% off center pin) i have never had a throw I liked miss a strike. Only if threw poorly, and it rarely seemed to split. I can see maybe there is more room for error hooking because the lane dictates where the break starts. But when playing on longer patterns would make things more difficult.
