One year I took 2nd place in a tournament. The next year I came in dead last out of 136 participants. I bowled great with a 240 average in the stepladders (300 semi-final). Then I couldn't break 180 in any of the qualifying games. Then I bowled a 289 game and two days later I bowled a 116. Bowling can humble a guy quickly and yet be so sweet as well. Enjoy those sweet moments.
Richie is awesome, love that dude lol... Hope he comes back to Pensacola this year.
We need more Ritchie T on here. How can you not love this guy, he is great when he’s on here.

I bet he's a blast to have a couple of beers with.
Brad, I really appreciate the incite to the tournament, but more importantly your attitude. You knew it was going to be difficult, and now you're going to use this experience to hone your game even more for the better. I was pulling for you all the way - sorry it didn't work out this time, but I know sometime this year we're going to see you on TV...hoisting a trophy. Good luck - be safe - God Bless.
Been watching for a long time. The change in mental approach seen in Brad's game is IMMENSE. I feel like that can only help going forward. Keep grinding and only good things will come.
Actually met Richie at the SABC Mixed Doubles Pro-Am in Houston, amazing guy! One of the best personalities in the PBA!
Great grind. Huge props for your composure and insight to the struggles.
Would have loved to have seen the 10 ball US Open game lol. Let the Bald Eagle fly!!!
The style of Richie Teece is so esthetic. pure poetry.
Brad over the years ive seen your mental game and physical game improvement. I look up to you and your continued growth
Really appreciate you sharing your struggles Brad. Very humbling. Best wishes for the rest of the season
You guys do a great job with the vlogs. Keep up the great work. Also, I signed up for the Roth/Holman doubles pro am in May, so hope to see you guys there. Also the thumbnails of these first few videos of 2023 had me lol. 😄
Thanks for the honest view of the Open. Amazing to watch how this game is so challenging even for the best in the business. Thanks for the videos and can't wait for the next stop on the journey!!
Proud of you guys for the content and videos happy to watch your journey to see how you guys face the problems and how you held them. Thx for tips
Great coverage. Love you guys.

Jesse is the BEST video editor/producer in the bowling community PERIOD.

You talking about Darren's camera guy? He needs to learn more about audio. It's usually awful. Just look back to the league night videos. He blasts the music part so loud that I need to turn down the volume, but then the volume is too low for when they have their talking segments. So it's constantly turning the volume up down up down up down up down all video long. That being said.... it seems better during the US Open videos.
Great job Brad. Good to see you having a positive attitude during a tough time!
Love the coverage guys!
Looking forward to watching all of you PBA Bowlers in the spring at Wauwatosa best of luck.
Brad, Kyle, I was thinking about something. One of the more interesting styles of bowling is…I think it’s called the helicopter shot. It comes from parts of Asia. Seems like it’s really hard to pull off and kinda counter-intuitive. But I wonder if anyone has ever tried it before on these difficult US Open patterns. Maybe with a plastic ball.
Keep grinding! 1 tournament down, more to go! Hope to see you in August in Virginia!
Good luck doing the us open Brad and Kyle
I feel for you Brad. I bowled the 2004 us open. Being in the top percentage of house bowlers at that location I figured why not....I averaged 170 with a high game of 200. The most humbling experience of my life. It taught me how bad of a bowler I truly am. You guys make most shots look easy, but sometimes they are even next to impossible for you guys too. Only good thing about that open....I was ahead of Walter Ray after 1 game. He finished a little better than me. Keep up the good work and content
All class, Brad. You couldn’t leave the big 4 again in that spot if you wanted to. Moments like these make the cuts and shows that much sweeter when you get there. Looking forward to seeing it. P.S. Brad I met you when I was a scorekeeper at the TOC in 2018 and I’ve been rooting for you since.
The “Cry of the Bald Eagle “ was worth the price of admission alone !! 😂
1:27 bro Kyle what? 🤣 😂
Keep up the good work u guys
Interested to hear about you not having certain pin up balls at the open and your choice on what you brought and why.
I see "The Real Deal" Bill O'Neill is bowling next to your lane, how is he bowling so far? Enjoying your videos!! Ed from Detroit
Thank you for the videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's what it is like for the rest of us who show up for a league night. Seeing this tourney I understand and the house shot is enough challenge for Me. GOOD LUCK it should get easier now..
Jesse is very very good ... nice of you to give him some love. Great effort and grind Brad.
This kinda content is so important, learning isn’t linear like we all hope some days it’ll kick you in the butt and you just have to go “oh well I’ll be better tomorrow” and push through
It seems a lot of followers have the same idea. Play outside with more predictable lines whether it is with urethane or plastic even when the conditions are that difficult. I watched Matt Sanders, another bowler at the 2023 US Open play that extreme outside line going directly over the first arrow. It looks like it worked! He made the top 10 I think after the third round. Now, he is going into match play. He hardly had to adjust off that line (for all 8 games) as everyone else seemed to be playing crazy angles and mucking it up!
I've had a membership. Not had the guts to post a video, but have learned so much by watching others. We're there Zen U thrown on short, if not why? Bowling geek 🤓 🤣 question
Hey man, you did your best and that’s the only thing you can only do like he said if you want to do better, he just have to practice. For example, I am just got back into bowling for a long hiatus since I was four and I stopped at age 25 now I just kind of like to improve my backswing a little more but kudos to you guys.
6:58 witness the most British celebration ever
As someone who is sick of seeing cringy pitches for sponsors and stuff from ALL KZreadrs (not just bowling ones), I loved how organic Kyle was with his pitch for the membership. I might join that membership when I get some money together. Even if it goes back up, might get it when I get my taxes back this year. Gonna need it if I want to be like these guys on tour haha
And damn, could they make the pattern MORE challenging? I mean most who are at B&K's level usually have a philosophy of "there is no such thing as a pattern that ISN'T scoreable" but holy Christ. US Open is DEFINITELY an exception to that.
I wouldn't be surprised if I bowled with/against AJ Chapman back when I was a kid. We're almost the same age, and I bowled youth league/tournaments in the same area of Iowa that he's from (Manchester, IA, and I'm from Charles City. Not sure if he actually grew up there or not, but I digress).
Thx
Nova looked gr8 at the end.
Hi brad yeah it's the ultimate all right it's the ultimate nightmare. It's Freddy kruger. And all the worst nightmares. Then when you bowl on a animal pattern it's looks easy compared to us open. Hang in there
Love the seamless plugs. I would totally take advantage if I were working. Just a cost of a bowling ball. One day. Just not today. 😂
Way to keep grinding
What position did you and Ronnie finish at?
Love me some Ritchie Teese! Go "Biscuit"!
You gonna get them next time bald eagle!!! Thanks for great Vlogs!
10:53 was rough for kyle lol
I love the channel. I would like to support the guys and I'm considering getting a membership. Bought a "Grind Mode" shirt the other day to show some support. My main concern is how helpful are the instructors or videos for 2 handers? Looking for input from a fellow 2 hander if possible.

I would say about 20% of the 400+ members are 2 handed! We have even had bowlers convert over from one handed to 2 handed
I'm bowling this pattern in an elimator tournament this Friday. What was I thinking when I signed up for this. 😂
That bald eagle line had me DEAD
Maybe u should bowl like they do at the Peterson straight at the pocket 🎉
If you average 220 but you want to work on your timing and other things in bowling is the membership a good look??
@BradandKyleBowl

We have bowlers in the membership who average 120 all the way up to some who average over 230 and are cashing in pba regionals. There is always more to learn!
You guys going to Springfield next week?
Jesse just changed the world...and he used bowling to do it. My Hero
Stupid tough patterns all week was great, tbh. I honestly wouldn’t mind practicing on them, now that we know what they are, just to work on accuracy.
Keep the good attitude
It looks like the pattern layouts got in to a lot of bowlers heads, before they threw a ball.
"cuz youre not gona lay down the sma-?" haha
Great video! I like to story telling but I still don't understand what +150 means
@BradandKyleBowl

A 200 game is considered the “even” mark. Any game above is + and any game under is -. So throughout the tournament you track how many pins you have total using this system
Don’t get Mad, be Brad! Keep after em Big Dog!
I would go Pin down IQ Tour as weak as possible and really try and roll the ball. Somewhere around 10ish. But I'm here in the comments, y'all are the pros 👍😎
What would Norm Do?

Love your channel but I throw hammer. Too bad you can't give us hammer balls. I'm wanting to get the widow 2.0 hybrid. Thanks for your lessons.

SAME, I absolutely love hammer and have been very successful as a bowler with their balls, and has (In my opinion) the best slogan “Nothing hits like a hammer”.🔨
What happened to Belmo?
I wish either I was closer or you all were closer. I am in Texas.
So I am going to suggest a duo showdown and the teams would be as follows, packy n keven, vs Darren n Michael, vs Brad n Kyle, vs beef and barnzy
I thought I had dejavú at 10:53 .
Can I be a member of your community even if I am from the Philippines? 😄
Never enough oil. Would love to bowl on it.

He bowled great, especially for the conditions and the fact that he has a (s) next to his name.
Brad and Kyle, After watching the us open and how tough it was out there I thought you might need some positive feedback. I want to thank you guys for all the content and videos you guys create. The information you guys share has helped me get back into bowling competitively. There is a video on youtube ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYiFxLyJqsyndps.html) that shows Brad's favorite bowling ball winning a local tournament. Again thank you for all the coaching, content and information you guys share it helps everyone to take their game to the next level.
Just keep it simple sometimes we bowlers think way to much just try and let the mind and body so it’s thing like your guys videos
Aj Chapman is the man
I got five on it...
Aj videos weekly! Winning tournaments steals your chicks
I dont understand pattern talk, if its flat how can there be a lot of hook in the middle
Man that Thanks Giving to the USBC for the Patterns seemed very #TROLLISH LOL. ALSO Listen to DENNIS for better Content CREATION throwing all 10 would have been #EPic
Jesse is top notch!
Good stuff. Now come home and enjoy the chiefs game back at home with us!!!
Whats your opinion of the "true" straight players of the past on a 39ft flat pattern. I bet the following players would be leading this tournament by a far margin over today's players. How about Mike Durbin, Erinie Schlagel, Bobby Knipple, Roy Buckley, Butch Soper, Don Genalo, Larry Laub....let me know your thoughts!!
I constantly heard "he's X under." Can someone please explain that to me?

@@SirJoelsuf1 follow up question, is that the case in virtually all of the events like this?
Making good shots is more important that having a easy shot Also you're only as good as the lane conditons allow you to be.
Needed some Norm knowledge.
i don’t like the us open when everyone is rusty and first event of year that’s awful
Some mistakes with the, so footmistakes. many foot errors, often your foot is crooked. Love from Holland.
Six
Don't feel bad. Belmo averaged 195.
IMo, they killed the casual viewers aspect! The average viewer doesn't want to see the best score low! JMO!
You are not staying down through the shot.😊
Gotta appreciate USBC putting out conditions that are shaking up the leader board. You can't say the PBA doesn't cater to certain players and styles when its the same usual suspects winning each week. With USBC, the best players rise to the top, no matter how they deliver the ball.
Brad, I have been a fan of you for years. But, honestly it was painful watching your performance at the US Open. I know the patterns are extremely difficult, but they are the same for every player there. Many rose to the top, hopefully you can put this one behind you and move on in a positive way. I'll continue rooting for you.............Go Brad!
Was there a glitch in the matrix or did Kyle repeat himself about AJ Chapman?
