Loved seeing Belmo throw a backup ball for that spare in the 9th. Congrats to EJ for the win!

needing to double in the 10th is an insane task and EJ was definitely the guy to do it

Looks to me that EJ has learned how to control his speed and his mental game. Also looks like he’s been hitting the gym. Looks more solid. EJ was my mother’s (she passed away in 2020) favorite bowler. I’m very pleased he’s back.

Happy to see EJ get the win. Belmo is the best of the best, and seems like a genuinely good dude, but I root against him because he wins SO much. EJ had nerves of steel in this match, he definitely earned it.

Belmo is not a genuinely good dude, don't you remember when he used to crumple his water bottle as his opponents were bowling??? He's a poor sportsman, not genuine. He used to do that to Sean Rash, that's why Sean hates him.

They are right on par with each other. It’s so close I couldn’t say who is better, but I’m definitely a bigger fan of EJ, I think simo is a douche

My favorite match this season for sure. What a time to be alive, watching 2 of the greatest ever in an all out brawl.

Tackett is just otherworldly this year. Two majors and five titles already this year.

As I was watching this, EJ was bowling better but Belmo kept getting the lucky breaks. I started to think maybe Belmo would squeak a win, but EJ just dominated at the end. Woohoo! Go EJ!

I only see facts

I want to see Belmo dominate always but at the same time it's hard not to be glad for a class act like EJ. Congratulations EJ - an EXCELLENT match and you definitely earned it!!!

Jason Belmonte made everyone work for it, including EJ Tackett. This was a helluva telecast from start to finish! Congrats to EJ on another major!

Belmo is 1 tough bowler...And still the best in my opinion. The final match had us all on the edge of our seats.

What a match! Both are my favorites and i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Belmo had it but like Rob said the urethane became unpredictable during belmo’s 9th frame. Both stepped up during 10th frame tho! Congrats EJ!!!

EJ Tackett surely player of the year

This was my first PBA event I’ve been two and the final was amazing

The different ways you make the clouds, brushes and sponges, so wonderful. The cloud on the left looks like a 🧸. 😊❤

I'm a Belmo fan but I gotta give it to EJ for winning. It was a really close match and both Belmo & EJ did really well plus EJ is looking to be Player of the Year.

Clutch by EJ! Yes - instant classic for our sport. So impressed with how EJ has improved his mental approach - he is carrying himself with so much confidence now.

It’s really cool seeing that slow motion of the urethane ball as it picks up oil. Awesome

Belmo is my favorite bowler and seeing how good Tackett is makes me upset but Tackett deserved this one.

😢 He made the shots to win his 🏆and deservingly so.

This has certainly been Tacket's year. The Belmont effect got to him before with his nerves, but that is not the case here. Didn't miss the pocket once. Secured the win! Great match for both of them.

I like EJ's speed to the foul line. Less chance to have to muscle the ball. Belmonte, guess he just ran out of those "booms"

EJ is in the zone. He beat a great player. These 2 are my favorites to watch. But in a few years we'll be seeing a great young.bowler out of New Zealand named Ben Pettitt.

I haven’t watched anything newer than 2014 in along time. Big fan of the older telecasts and you are in the comment section of every single video. Now that’s putting in work! Lol

How are matches usually posted week laters but Belmo and Ej are posted immediately , skipped the whole week of beautiful bowling. Got to follow the players if you want indication of what’s happening recently.

A lot of oil out there and visible on Belmo's ball...They are playing far different lines than what I'm used to seeing them throw. A very difficult condition I'm guessing...A great match....

@@joedirte6525 Well, 2-handers playing the yank-the-shim shot with urethane... but as we saw here, that shot doesn't last, and unfortunately for Belmonte, it disappeared at an inopportune time.

I think Belmo has lost a step or two. There was a time when it was rare when Belmo didn't make the TV cut. He's only made it twice this season, and he lost both times. He's been teetering between great and average, and more towards the average than great...

Bowlers can’t win them all but it’s always great to see two best of the best going head to head. I love both of their style of bowling equally.

I guess there's looking every sport, but more so in Bowling cuz you know you threw a perfect ball you get a 7-10 split your throat crap all you get a strike so I guess the gods are involved

I don't think a pro needs to bowl 2 handed

I'm a lifelong bowler and new PBA pro. But OMG, the high-pitched screaming, let's go, boom, voice-cracking it's my time, Rash cursing, and even Weber's past crotch chops and cursing. Barnes glasses-throwing. These guys are the best in the world, and there's no need for the theatrics. Doesn't help promote the game. They look like poor sportsmen at best, and at the worst, fools. I don't have any titles yet, but I can tell you that when my fellow new pros and I bowled 300's, and made it through PTQ's, we didn't scream out. Just tried to compete hard, be humble, and happy to be there. My adult children say they'd be ashamed of me if I screeched like a banshee on national TV.
