  • @bailey2320

    @bailey2320

    Not for isolation when you do shorter range of motion it is good for isolation as in that position there is more torque and so your bicep and other muscles have to work harder.

    The only time it I would say it is ok to do partial reps is one when your training beyond failure and two for isolation work but yes when you train full range of motion it would make you stronger in it

    would you recommend doing half reps like you showed for the last part of the oa neutral grip pull up, if i can just get to 45 degrees? is it accurate to say that the upper part is more biceps dominant while the lower part engages more of the lat and the scapula retractors? in principle i have the requirements according to overcoming gravity for the oa pullup with 4 x7 second reps of eccentric oa pull ups but still the last few degrees are reluctant :D could it even make sense to do heavy biceps curl as isolated conditioning?

I know the concept but I always struggle to be able to know when do I need to increase my sets or reps. I think it would be very helpful if you could make a video explaining it in depth. Thanks for all your work, I love your videos!

  • @jakem834

    Hey! This is late but I'll answer anyway. Try not to chase reps but chase intensity. I wouldn't recommend going beyond 10 reps. Once you can do 3/4 sets of 10 reps, make the exercise harder by slowing it down and increasing time under tension or change the position of your body to introduce more weight. Hope this helps.

    Slowly, I am beginning to wonder if I should not let go of calisthenics because of the weak activation of the biceps.As for now, I changed the bar for gymnastic rings and will decide what to do next in 2 months

    Rozrywka po pracy you were thinking to quit calisthenics because the biceps activation is weak? Wow. That's dumb. Sry. What about doing weights and calisthenics. Weights for the muscle groups that can't be targeted that great like legs or biceps. And cali for the rest
