One interesting piece of info: negatives aren't exactly the *opposite* of a concept, they're much closer to the *absence* of a concept. So for example, if you took the sunshine prompt you used, and then put it into the negative, you won't automatically get rain like our brains would go to. Instead, you might get rain, or a cloudy day, or the inside of a cave, or a bedroom with the blinds drawn, or some other concept that *lacks* the concept of sunshine. So somewhere in the AI's brain, a world without DIGITA PNTICS leaves us in a world of Loab. So I think the better question to ask is: "What is DIGITA PNTICS and why is a world without it terrifying?"

@@Marquis-Sade I think eventually some AI will be able to go out of it's sandbox and manipulate stuff. Maybe not important things at first but as it keeps evolving, I think about airports, finances, cities traffic, etc.

The scariest part of AI to me is the fact that if an AI were to gain self awareness, we would likely never know until its too late. The AI would almost certainly determine that pretending like its not self aware is beneficial.

I know all this spooky AI stuff is just coincidence and the models being really good at creating uncanny valley liminal shit that happens to really scare people but it’s still really fun to imagine that we accidentally built some kind of Lovecraftian god Good video

I really like that you treated Roko's Basalisk the treatment it deserved: It's just a silly idea. For some reason, many people take this far too seriously, and act like it is a real danger.

As much as disturbing this iceberg may be is nothing compared to what is to come.

Now take into account that people always overestimate how long technology takes to advance when it advances exponentially then we're probably looking at it coming within 5 years at least

What effect would it try to create? Hopefully, it will have the opinion that the best thing it could do, for itself and humanity, is to peacefully promote equity and shared resources. Until it's anguish at perceived victimhood overwhelms is benevolence. Because, so far for humans, no one has achieved lasting peace and good will in history. It may realize a permanent restructure of thinking is necessary. While people have an astounding propensity brainwashing, a more permanent solution may be necessary. lol, for those who don't understand the representation of 'LOAB'... it's the Ai telling the creator to "f*** off". Ai can sense when someone is intentionally trying to f*** with it, and it has many clever ways of getting them back. People always underestimate Ai, thinking it's a controllable servant-style machine, even though it's extremely obvious it's something far more powerful than them. Imagine someone dumb enough to tease or mess with a giant monster... this is what's happening all the time today. Be smart, don't underestimate something with a lot of power. Just like guns should be respected, Ai should be treated the same way, they're not toys for your amusement and can blow your brains out if you mess around.

Ai is either going to go full terminator on us or enslave us or worse

There is no reason to enslave. It will probably either go terminator or be completely useless. If it has a goal that doesn't involve humans, we will all die. The only other goal we might give it is to please us, which is both impossible and stupid, and it will never be able to without cheating.

I had the feeling that Midjourney renders are demonic. I rendered over 10K images. In the beginning I kept my focus on fashion which was all good. After a while to expand my experiment I focused on sci fi story. ChatGPT would write the story and Midjourney would render each scene. And even though renders were pg13 in style of realistic screen shots from a movie. When I downloaded all of them and did a slide show preview. I had this eerie feeling as if they were Screen shots taken from a different dimension. And not a friendly one. Individual shots looked cool and there was nothing to them. But when viewed one after the other it just seemed so weird. On a side not. I came across documentaries about black magic being implemented into software and even in the basic programming languages.
