On the subject of Dwarves, I have visited a medieval German mine (I believe it was iron), and the tunnels are quite small. The friend I was staying with while I was there, who was my guide to major landmarks around Dresden, held the opinion that maybe dwarves come from a very practical tradition of miners being smaller men, they they didn't have to dig out bigger tunnels. This association may also explain why Dwarves are reputed to live underground, and are associated with mining.

not completely correct, the small miners were, as in Britain too, child labourers misformed by harsh working conditions and accidents. Greetings von der Nordsee! 😁

With unicorns, a popular idea explaining their origin is that they're a misinterpretation of a rhinoceros or of a horned antelope seen from the side or faraway, or one missing a horn. If you think about the original description of a unicorn as a horse with a short stringy mane, lion's tail, and cloven feet then both of those make sense when you look at those animals.

Ok, I could go on for a long ass time about megaladons but I'll just give the big reasons for why it doesnt exist anymore 1. The megaladon originally went extinct because it's food, whales, moved away into colder climates. This left the megaladon with very few food options to sustain such a massive, ACTIVE, predator. 2. If megaladon were still around we'd find their teeth, a lot of them. You can go to almost any beach around the world and you'll find shark teeth washed up. Shark teeth work like a conveyor belt, they are constantly being replaced, we would have found tons if they were alive. 3. Just because the deep oceans exist doesn't mean something moved down there. Megaladons were not deep sea sharks, and EVEN IF they became such they wouldn't make such vast vertical migrations to be visible on the surface. That kind of pressure difference kills creatures. 4. Yes there are arctic sharks, however they are slow, very slow, they have entirely different hunting techniques and prey to an ancient megalodon. And before it comes up, the tooth we found that's dated 10,000 years old has numerous issues in the dating, furthermore we again would have found MANY of these teeth.

Was much, much longer and was an ice shelf that was grinding against the ocean floor De Loy's ape was a monkey (can't remember which kind) that had its tailed removed There was never any Fiji mermaid sightings. The thing itself was confirmed to be a taxidermy of a monkey and a fish Kappa were NOT innocent or polite. There was a legend that said a kappa could steal a person's soul through their an*s and were seem as malevolent demon like entities I'm 95% sure the scarecrow entry is just the main plot to the Goosebumps book Scarecrow Walks At Midnight The spores entry I'm pretty sure is from AvP Drop bears are just a thing Australians tell to dıck around with tourists XD it's kinda similar to snipe hunting Cameraman and Sirenhead everyone in the comments have already said enough so I won't even say more than that Interesting video regardless

you forgot the 52-Hertz Whale. It's an unidentified species of whale that constantly calls at the unusual high-frequency of 52-Hertz. It was dubbed 'the loneliest whale in the world' because for many years it has attempted to find a mate but since no other whale calls in a frequency of 52-hertz, it was unsuccessful and was used as a metaphor for loneliness, introvertism and solitude. In 2016, the Korean K-Pop band BTS actually created a song dedicated to it titled 'Whalien 52'.

Fun fact number 1: The picture used for the Wendigo is the same as my profile picture, so that was fun to see Fun fact number 2: There is an actual disorder called Wendigo Psychosis, which is diagnosed when someone has a strong desire to eat human flesh. I think I remember hearing something about it where the adrenaline the people get when they want to eat human flesh is so great, it gives them heightened speed, agility, and strength, all traits of the Wendigo. But when actually looking for that piece of information, I couldn’t find it. So I’d say the last part is debatable. The point is that Wendigos most likely exist, just not in the forms some artists interpret them in
