If a substance is a “legal high” chances are it’s legal because the high is so awful no one would want to take it regularly.

Kratom, phenibut, kavakava, cannabis now in most places, blue lotus flower, amanita muscaria, dextromethorophan, hbwr seeds, and San Pedro cacti are all examples of "legal" highs that are very enjoyable to a large majority of the users, most just aren't well known@@CreepyDemonYT

You’re right, but most of them do have downsides, and some are even life-threatening, such as Nutmeg or Datura obviously. But it remains subjective so to each their own.

Kratom makes me nauseous and way too mild in affects, nitrous is terrifying for most users and is really bad for your health, Kanna and KavaKava are too mild, etc legal highs mostly suck even alcohol is bad but it's currently cheaper than weed in most places.

Ok, as someone who have taken datura seeds, first time 20 seeds, simply chewed and swallowed. Than. After that first time, i have been taking +5 seeds every day for next month, or 40+ days in a row, so 1st day 20 seeds, 2nd 25 seeds, 3rd 30, 4th 35... etc. Preparing for a deep-trip, i had also taken seeds during these 40+ days, from different plants, and different variation of a plant. At the end of that excursion, i took 2 full caps from coca-cola 2l bottle, of fully developed black seeds, chewed them up, and, oh, well... this is not a trip report so ill just say that "dry mouth" and "hard to swallow" are getting a complete new meaning and dimension on that amount. Only short moments of relif from these thyrany of ripping sore throat and swallowing razor blade alike feeling was ONLY during moments of swallowing water, and not a 1/100th of a second longer. The perfect amount is exactly zero seeds. For a years to come, when i see a fully blossomed huge plant, over 3m in height and more than 2m of wide, full of white flowers and green pods, some already dry... I knew to be terrified, feeling like some type of "connection" with such a huge plant, like it radiates fear and afraid i was, also very humbled and unsettled just by the presence of such a trophy plant in my field of vision. I have to suggest to anyone who is not deep in animism and shamanism, not to try having a cheap-trip, because its not a party drug, its not even a psychedelic, not close to recreational substance. Dont do it. Skip.

I have a beautiful tree in front of my house from a branch I brought from a park nearby and planted there. I pruned her a coupIe of times and have been taking care of her for years now. I ate one flower three or so different times, one of them had a creepy experience looking at a taxidermied crow at a museum, and another left me with a couple of days of blurry vision, I have an amazing and gente connection with that plant, her smell is so attractive and sweet. I have a huge love and respect for her and how she treated me well, letting me see that dark side from afar.

The iceberg format is a great vehicle towards the effort of cultural demystification of substances and the injection of further nuance about substances among laypeople. Simply by consuming your digestible pieces of infotainment, masses will become more informed about these substances than the policy-makers writing to maintain their bans. And especially for datura, seeds will be planted regarded safe use, likely preventing unnessary psych ward visits. Thank you for your efforts, and do continue producing.

This is horrifying. An accidental DPH experience I had several years ago has completely scared me off from deliriants. I had pretty bad insomnia from coming off Lexapro and tried several things to sleep, from a warm shower to smoking some weed to relaxing videos. Eventually, I turned to benadryl, taking two first. Nothing happened, two more. Nothing. Continued taking more, probably 250-300mg total. Now this isn't usually enough to cause full blown delirium but my god was it weird. Visual glitching and things in the corner of my eyes in my dark room, occasional distant sounds. Closing my eyes resulted in strange vivid visions kinda like a daydream, but much more vivid and rapidly shifting. Eventually did fall asleep thankfully, waking up feeling groggy and exhausted. At the time, I was unaware of the hallucinogenic effects of benadryl. I've also taken shrooms several times and it was the polar opposite. Enjoyable, insightful, introspective, helped me realize what I was doing wrong in life. A bad shroom trip is usually just a hard to accept learning experience. A datura trip is just chaotic and horrifying with no potential benefit.

Even the one of thinking everything I knew was untrue and that reality is so much worse and that I couldn’t escape it. During one of my worst trips, I was convinced that all of this is actually hell. We’re all being tortured but the devil is convincing the whole world that we’re living in this world. I’ve also been struggling with temporary aphasia but I haven’t taken any weed in months and my vocabulary is starting to return to me). I love the flowers and the unique spiky seed pods of the datura plant… I’d never consume it though. There was a point in time when I was taking weed. I got addicted and overdosed. It made me go insane and I felt psychosomatic pain that felt so real. I hade insane (good and bad) hallucinations also. I experienced ego death and depersonalization from it too. Delirium has varying degrees. You can become deleriant from lack of sleep, or dehydration. However, those are natural responses that occur within the body, and usually are reversed once the rest is taken, or water is ingested. Datura is not a substance that interacts with the human body in a naturally synergetic way when out-right ingested. There are cultures, such as in India, that have used it in folk-medicine, however, there are no known medical benefits from using it. If you are so bold as to ignore those who have tried it, then I would then also suggest that walking into traffic could also be considered "overly dramatized", as not every person suffers a life ending injury, or loses their life, but the risk is there, clear as day as you choose to consume a deadly poisonous plant's seeds.
