The Homeless Boy Who Invented Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is the No.1 luxury brand in the world - valued at over $30 billion. Its history dates back to the 19th century and begins with a homeless teenager who could only dream of success. With no money or food, he worked odd jobs with artisans and craftsmen to survive, barely making any money but learned valuable skills that led to pioneering modern luggage and creating a billion-dollar empire.

Love hearing that he, Coco Chanel, & others came from humble beginnings to luxury success. That’s why it’s interesting when sales people judge those they think don’t belong in those stores, little do they know the customers actually have the same spirit of the founder of the brand while the salesperson can probably only afford it after an employee discount.

College doesn't help you understand the system/real world at all.. its just another form of seeing who can remember the most over the year, that is all. Edit : For everyone saying you clearly haven't been to uni/college etc, yes you're right. I started working hard at 16, once i finished school. I now own a very successful business, running across multiple sites. We have 26 employees with over 4000 active members & we're planning on opening our 3rd site next year if possible but due to covid probably not.

I enjoyed learning the history of the Louis Vuitton luxury brand. A story both sad, inspiring, motivating, brings success to a 13 year old who left home penniless, had struggles, ran with an idea , became successful for the second time after the war completely destroyed his business the first time. Working hard paid off and in today’s world he still remains a success story and the brand still sells. So much respect and love for this man 🙏♥️
