How A Poor Boy Created Mercedes-Benz

Start your career the modern way! Use code BIGCOMPANY50 for $50 OFF their full course with my link - coursecareers.com/bigcompany
Mercedes-Benz is one of the oldest and most luxurious car companies in the world, worth around 80 billion dollars. But being among the most desired and expensive cars today, it’s easy to forget its early humble beginnings.
It all started with a poor engineer, who faced many doubts, hates and failures in his pursuit of building the first horseless carriage. In spite of that, he proved everyone wrong and turned his small venture into the world's first and biggest production car company during the 1890s and early 1900s.
But what started as an inspiring success story, took a surprisingly dark turn, when the company profited from supplying military vehicles to the Nazis under the works of forced labors.
So well, sit back and relax, today we’ll be covering the insane story of Mercedes-Benz, and the man who brought automobiles to life, Karl Benz.

Without Karl Benz, there would be no engine no car to produce. Creating, innovating and producing cars were not an easy feat. Without Bertha Benz and her support, Karl benz's cars wouldn't survive. She proved that Benz's cars are essential and reliable when she drove the car over long distances. Kudos to both of them. Beautiful partnership.

Actually Mercedes benz comes way after company was established. Rich Austrian guy wo loved racing asked Daimler company to build car for him so he can race, they did it and he won race, so as a reward from Daimler he get to name his car as he wants, since he had daughter called Mercedes he gave that name and the rest is history.

The birthplace of Carl Benz was torn down in the 1950s to make room for more cars (yes, the irony). Still, a small correction: It wasn't the town of Mühlberg, but Mühlburg, which is a district in the city of Karlsruhe (the difference being one character or 350 miles). Karlsruhe was the birthplace of both the bicycle (Karl Drais) and the automobile (Carl Benz).

I've taken many trips to far away lands in search of new tech stories and to see anyone who had started from nothing and was able to change the minds of others is a greatness not to ever be loss. With this I feel it would be a greater loss if it wasn't for this and other posting videos. Rumbering the great people of the past.

I really wonder how time has changed.... People of new generation are mentally sick due to these social platforms. Everyone wants to become famous without doing anything. And in those times Legends like Carl whose only passion is to make his dream come true were born.... i mean it's quite sad.... people at that time with minor resources used to create revolutionary things and now with the presence of everything humans have became dull. This proves what a single person can do if he really gets into his interest and think only about that... 🔥 That's why inventions are only things of past and not now

When I got my first car long years back, I barely know anything about cars and thought I would never ever drive a car, no mention owning one, I was badly car-sick and sensitive to gasoline small since childhood. But I immigrated to the US, which is called a country on the car wheel. Mercedes is the second fresh-new car I purchased and decided to try a luxury one this time. So test-drive the entry-level model of serval brands in the local car dealer area. until today, I finally realize the real reason why I picked M instead of others, perhaps, I would NEVER be a car racer person, prefer to drive slowly, safely, and smoothly. I have no more feeling if any car suddenly exceeds and bypasses me on the road than wondering why they are so rash, seems the same kind of driving person like Kal Mercedes. Actually, during the months for my second car purchase, I talked with lots of friends and co-workers at lunchtime, in china, there is a saying regarding the comparison of Mercedes-Benz and BMW "A passenger's car vs a driver's car. ", because the most owner of Merces turns out to be an owner who has a driver, while BMWs is those who like car racing. During test driving, I feel most Steering wheel is too flexible for me and make me feel pressure to be careful with my hands on the Steering. So even though most of my friends and coworker at that time preferred BMW, I still get Mercedes. SO surprised everyone, the first words after 3 years of not talking with each other, a previous co-worker when I picked up him from the hotel during his business in the US headquarters, asked: why not BMW? So surprised everyone, two of my co-worker bought the high-end Mecedens the week after I got my car, so many hidden ones, waiting for others to be the first. I am NOT advocating Mercedes, nor advocating Car-industry in China. Traffic and road(especially high-way coverage and safety) are the biggest difference between the US and China for the car industry. AND among different areas of China, the situation difference is HUGE. In Beijing, I won't drive, easily car-sick for me.
