The Hitter By Radical Review❗ | SPECTO Data | BrunsNick

Ойын-сауық

The Hitter features a brand new asymmetrical core design and Utility Solid coverstock created for a strong, sweeping ball motion.
With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

@@John-sd4ll good thinking! And yes that Paragon Pearl was great and went thru the pins very consistently for me from all angles. Crazy how much speed is lost from friction huh! But yeah, the pin setter cameras calculate the speed and that’s what you see on the screen.

Hello again Nick, how would you compare The Hitter to the DV8 Hellcat XLR8? The Diff and Intermediate's are almost identical. RG on the Hitter is 2.488 and the XLR8 is 2.537. How about a comparison video, Utility coverstock vs Maximum Havoc? Also a great topic for the Radical podcast would be, How to train your Eye to read ball reaction/motion front to back and side to side? Thanks for all you and Phil do for us average league bowlers. Quick note: I was struggling one night with over/under so I pulled out my Brunswick Smash Zone and it helped our team and my series, smooth and controllable. What would compare to the Smash Zone now?

  • @brunsnick

It would be a little more angular option, both balls are pretty aggressive, the Crypto is Just smoother rolling symmetrical.

I ordered it, will drill it pin-down (200rpm, 15.5-16mph pins). The Crypto Solid is a strike machine for me when the lane conditions match up. But on those days when the lane is stepping on the Crypto's toes a bit (lots of 8s and 9s), I'm interested if the Hitter will give me a similarly controlled but slightly diff angle into the pocket. Bigfoot Hybrid and Crypto Boom are usually too clean for me, resulting in a too-short hook window and lots of over\under splits and 10pins.

Got the Hitter Two days ago. It is a strike machine for me so far. Just as I had hoped - gives me the same 'trying to help you, bro' forgiveness as the Crypto, but a slightly different entry angle to the pocket. I'm very happy with this ball.
