I’m not really one for posting but I just wanted to drop in here and say what a great all round experience I had at your counter in Selfridges today. The artist who helped me choose your seamless skin enhancing tint was lovely. She got the PERFECT shade for my skin (usually impossible on my extremely fair but very yellow complexion), it’s totally invisible, me but better. I don’t know what sorcery is in that formulation but it didn’t immediately sink into my foundation gutters i.e. my smile lines and chin crease and it dried down beautifully without the need for any powder which is perfect as I hate powder. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name as I’d like to give her a proper shout out but she was the same age as me (in our prime shall we say) so someone who I could totally relate to and wasn’t remotely intimidating and that place can be very intimidating! It’s a truly lovely product and I can honestly say it’s the only thing I’ve ever tried that didn’t sit in my lines, it was still looking perfect when I took off my makeup this evening, thank you ❤️

Both my Grandmothers used their lipstick as blush. One of them also had a bronze thin pot that was about the size of a quarter and had a mini puff in it. I think she hit pan on it, but still used the little puff and it had a hinged lid on it so it kept the puff clean.

Hi I’m 74 and saw your video on applying foundation and using a clean brush to blend at the end. This has definitely been a game changer for me. I like a foundation to be reasonably natural looking but which still disguises my flaws without looking overdone. Using a clean brush to blend made such a difference to the end result. I’ve been using this blush technique for a few years now. I learned it from Asian makeup artists. It’s especially helpful for mature faces, because it helps add back that “healthy flush” most of us lose as we age. Fantastic video, Lisa!

@@witchescauldron , absolutely! I find a light touch with cream blush, instead powder is the most forgiving, on my skin anyway. Sometimes I even mix it with my moisturizer, before applying.

It's interesting to me that Lisa works the makeup brush so much. It doesn't seem to stop moving. I think I'd better try it. I've been lazy, just dappling once or twice. ❤

My face is not wide ennough and I use this trick with the blush and the bronzer ( horizontal rather than slanted) to make it look wider. Just love it.

I've been doing this blush technique for years now as I'm pretty minimalist with my makeup and love me a good lip/eye/cheek with the same product, just different blending to give it that soft and natural effect! the shadow with the bronze though ... I love how that subtle shift totally changes the effect! one of my favourite things about your videos is that I always learn some key or core skill ... so valuable, no matter what your "level" or interaction with makeup is 😍

I wish this video came out five years ago. I screenshot and studied how men naturally get sun burnt and started doing my blush like this since then and havent stopped. its very flattering. i also have a long narrow face like you. i used to do rectangles on my cheekbones but now i do hearts. i realized yes we are doing a stripe across the mid face but if we follow the nose and cheekbones its more of a W shape so the hearts help

Neat. This is kind of how I already do my blush, which is a lot like the Japanese "sick/drunk flush" look that was around a few years back. Fingers also work great for blending the blush out.

Enchantment is such a beautiful and versatile shade! I use it also w crystal nebula higher on the cheeks but will try this blush placement. I’ve never been able to make faux freckles work but instead emphasize existing small beauty marks/freckles that are somewhat central on the cheeks to make the face appear shorter and skin look fresh, does wonders for me.

Such a useful tip (again)! I have many lipsticks that are way to strong for me to wear often (also two from your collection) just like you mentioned. I guess I’m fortunate, I have full brows and natural freckles! I remember when I first started wearing makeup, it was recommended to use a base color halfway between my skin and freckle color to “minimize” them! Makeup trends come and go but I find ones that suit me, I keep them. I blend a red shade into my bronzer to make it look a bit flushed by the sun look.
