Those 5.0 engines can be pretty reliable. We would make about 26mpg highway in our old '88 Grand Marquis.

Really great video, i didn't have the option to drop the tank, angle grinded over fuel pump location in the trunk. Please dont take this route. Fuel tank sits flush in the trunk area, this is so dangerous and greatful i didnt blow myself up. It worked but dont get creative, just do it safe and right.

I know this video is from years ago. But do you remember what size the strap bolts are? Or do you know what size I can use for a 2004 crown Victoria

get an alternator from a 98 taurus with a 3.0 ohv . Drill the lower hole to accommodate your bolt, bolt and nut up top. use a eyelet to attach your old black/orange sriped wires, and a small spade connector for the white/black stripe wire. And you'll have better alternator that won't burn your car down.

On Ford's, you need the sending unit number off the unit itself to get the right sender. It may depend if you have trip minder, or electronic cluster etc.

hey my friend how you been I was wondering what kind of tires did you get? I know it is hard to find white walls for those back in the day I bought them at Firestone I owned my 86 Grand Marquis it had the 215 70 15 but I put the police size in there which was a 225 70 15 and those were nice? I think you just need to drive it around a little bit put some fresh gas and just let it blow out a little bit if it's carbon that it's been sitting with for so many years run some super through it I know my 86 like super unleaded?

mjmcomputers As long as the pulley is the same and the amps are the ssme, yes. You may have to 'clock' the alternator meaning you remove the bolts and turn the frame to line it up where you need it. Then re-install the bolts. Check for charging with a voltmeter. Check for a drain with a test light.

If there's vacuum at the EGR at idle with the engine warm, replace the TPS! The TPS could be causing the idle speed to go up a little. That can cause the EGR to get vacuum. Disconnect the hose and see if there's vacuum at idle. There shouldn't. If you get EGR position sensor codes, try another TPS.

All that baby needs now, is a fresh new complete tuneup/rotor, cap, wires, plugs, oh and I'd certainly replace the fuel filter, and you wanna replace the air filter as well, possibly an oil change, that certainly wouldn't hurt to do that as well. Then I'd say your Good to Go.👌✌️👍

guyina4x4 NO! The white clip on the fuel lines keep the hoses on the tubing. With the high pressure, if the line comes off, it'll cause a fire!
