we had a '76 Ford LTD when I was a kid. It ran about the same as yours does now.

That LTD is a great restoration project....please don't say that its stored outside with no hood...tarpaulins offer very little water protection...that crankcase is probably a cesspool of water.

Close the choke some to help it to start on the first car. Check the codes to fix them better. A ActronCP9690 is a good one! The riding mower needs valve adjustment. Sometimes you can push the pedal to the floor on F.I. cars to start it.

I was wondering, if the 1978 LTD, the reason it had water 2as becausexsince it does not have a hood cor something to protect it from the weather, maybecyou should put a tarp or something similar to protect the engine from getting water inside.

No leaded gas anywhere; but you can find lead additives. Be sure to use the additive if driving very far or speeds over 35mph so you don't burn up the exhaust valves. Or, pull the heads and had hardened valve seats installed and unleaded gas won't be a problem.

Personally if I was going to make it a daily or fun car I'd just have hardened valve seats, don't have to worry about ti then.

The Hyundai was scrapped a while back. I'm driving the silver 2001 lesabre and the flatbed F150 most of the time.

Change the oil on cars that have sat because water gets in the oil pan. Put 10w30 in the Winter and 20w50 in the Summer. Buy new batteries.

I had a tarp on it but I think the stud for the air cleaner poked a hole in it and let water in.

The fuel pump on the pontiac isn't working so it won't start. The Park Ave is out of gas and I didn't have anymore at the time.
