It strangely reminds me of cocking a gun before shooting (like an M1 Garand), but in this take, taking a step before leaping! Maybe because of the suit being racked? Because by movie plot, the suit alters Flash's blue lighting to orange, so there's some sort of mechanism in that suit? But anyway, It's an interesting take on tapping into the speed force!

@@JerseyBoy489 It works for a comic because it's a still image. A generic running pose is boring to look at, so they use a dynamic exaggerated running pose for the reader to enjoy. However, when you translate that to animation/film it doesn't work. It looks very unnatural and silly. It looks like there's no weight to his movements, like he was just comped in (i.e. It doesn't look like he's actually there running in the environment), and you find it difficult to justify why anybody would run like that. You'll notice in every other animated and live action media (CW series, Injustice, Young Justice, JLAS, JLU, Flashpoint Paradox, etc.) he never runs like this, and they all look better. TLDR: what works in still media (illustrations/comics) doesn't always work well in video.

Idk, later it shows him running like you think a speedster would and then it transitions into the “ice skate” style, almost as if the Speedforce and momentum just take him from there and at that point he’s almost gliding. You can even see the energy under his feet as they hit the ground. I kinda like it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I thought it was cool but I have to admit, the way they showed a speedster’s run was coolest in that movie Eternals.

Barry doesn't have his speed force aura yet, that's why he puts in a struggling to move flail For Barry it's like regular people trying to run in water or mud The air around Barry makes it hard to move his arms and legs, so he has to swing them to go forward, like how we skip run in water

@alesholman801 That’s the only way I could justify it too. He’s faster than in ZSJL, but like in that film it seems the speed force is like a form of matter he has to wade through. Our regular matter is nothing to him while using his speed force, letting him run on water, air and up walls like nothing. Regular people can’t be moved using the speed force and when he has to move people it’s slow and deliberate and he usually steps out of his speed and moves like normal person so they don’t splatter against the speed force matter. When he moves people at Flash speeds, they come out sweating and looking like they’re going to vomit and shit themselves

@@alesholman801 it's not justifying anything, the fact that Barry discovered he can change the past using the chronobowl (the chronobowl was shown to let observers peek into the past, like older Barry did to talk to Batfleck), means Barry hasn't learned to tap into his aura The aura let's him protect his clothes, it stops wind resistance, high speeds is the reason you see people in movies slip off planes and trains etc So Barry's Aura when it's used stops all of it, and he's able to safely move people The fact that he refuses to move people shows that he hasn't learned all the speed force can do for him, Barry can even use the speed force to make green lantern type constructs, Wally made himself a cast for his broken leg using the speed force

This is one of those Rare scenes in Media which I can watch again and again and never get bored.

I love how in addition to the lightning coming off his back, there's lightning coming from his feet everytime he takes a step.

And his feet is sliding on the road when running lol

The sound effects in this are so good

I am impressed how the cameraman easily catches up to Flash's speed😅

I think he runs like that due to his resistance to friction, Baiscally: when flash runs the speed force makes him resistant to friction, how does it do that? By litterally removing most of the friction from his body, hence why his form is more like skating that running.

There actually are some cars he runs past. Look closer and you will see it. 2 lane highways as well are not always busy as well which could explain the spots where there are not vehicles.

I think while his run looks strange, it probably makes sense to a degree. It's clearly a technique and it's not going to look cool because it works.

I honestly love this depiction of super speed. The movie itself was alright but this scene alone is pretty damn amazing.
